Job Description
Job Purpose & Scope:
Supervises and monitor the operations of the Wellhead Platforms (WHPs) including downhole operations and ensures that the oil production and water injection per well area and overall are controlled as per the company requirements, and that well data is accurately collected for reservoir monitoring purposes. Ensures that operations are conducted safely, efficiently and economically.
Principal Accountabilities:
Carry out all responsibilities in accordance with company's commercial, production, maintenance, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Manage the field operations in a safe and prudent manner so as to minimize the risk to personnel, company property and the environment; and act on behalf of the Operation Manager when required.
Ensure the competency of WHP operators by carrying out SVQ assessment and train them in all aspects of production, e.g. wellsite, stimulation and processing to be an effective operating force in the field.
Controls, monitors and directs opportunities for training and development of employees under his direction (with emphasis on UAE Nationals) and assesses their progress.
Supervises oil production and water injection and the operation/injection facilities, ensuring that all standing orders and defined working procedures and safety instructions are enforced so that safe and continuous production and injection can be maintained.
Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of workers, Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other departments, Maintain operational communication with all Company counterparts.
Participates in the pre-commissioning and commissioning schedule in close cooperation with all other stakeholders, vendors, subcontractors and operation.
Coordinating equipment inspections and reporting potential concerns to management, overseeing the maintenance of facility equipment and order material as needed or requested.
Supervises production tests of oil and gas on wellhead to ensure capability to meet production targets in terms of quantity and quality and implements sampling program in coordination with SUFD to ensure control quality analysis can take place.
Supervises the preparation of wellhead for hook ups and maintenance work or for servicing to be carried out and ensures WHPs are prepared for special operations and ensuring that standing instructions are fully followed.
Plans the logistics schedule to obtain most effective use of subordinates and contractor crews, and minimizes flying / navigation times.
Supervises contractors undertaking main wireline operations, ensuring that downhole operations are conducted at a minimum cost consistent with safety and overall efficiency and in accordance to standard wireline instructions.
Oversight of well services jack up barge, well head maintenance and well services work boats.
Optimize utilization of resources to deliver work program activities within schedule and budget.
Implement lessons learned from other projects in the new Project Phase.
Prepares schedules for daily, weekly and monthly work programmes of crews, taking action to ensure work programs are executed, work problems are resolved and recommended measures in place to improve productivity.
Plans and supervises the transfer of equipment between wellhead platforms by under slung moves. Prepares all materials and equipment needed for downhole operations, including specifying special tools required, and ensures this is taken to sites before the start of work.
Checks the effectiveness of all equipment in use, tests new equipment where it is considered to be suitable, and ensures all necessary equipment and spare parts are requested.
Performs other related or similar duties as assigned including technical reviews of modifications and changes to operations documentations, Manuals, Operation Procedures and Standing instructions.
IO and Decision Making Authority:
Works in accordance with established operating and technical standards. Keeps UA Operation  Manager advised of operations, on continuous basis. Work is subject to spot check.
Additional Details:
HSE Roles & Responsibilities: 
Directs and leads Wellhead Operation team in the implementation of the Company HSEMS processes and ensures that all activities are carried out with full Compliance  to the Company’s HSE requirements and regulations/Policies. Exercises control of the work permit system (PTW) and audit compliance as and when required.
Promotes HSE awareness among the team, conducts regular HSE Tool Box meetings with the team members and maintains good safety standards for various activities while ensuring that the required communications and information are properly circulated to respective teams/sections.
Ensures high level of emergency preparedness, equipment readiness and personnel training to effectively manage different types of crisis situations that can occur at Site.
Assumes the responsibility of IMT (Incident Management Team) member and leads the activities as per the stipulated emergency Role in case of an emergency situation, controls and directs sub-ordinates / Team members to bring situation under control. 
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirements: 
B.Sc. in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering plus 3-4 years of experience.
Or Completion of Secondary School (12 years) plus 8 years of experience in offshore operation including at least 3 years experience in a supervisory position.
Good practical knowledge of down hole equipment, X-mas tree and conventional well operation.
Fluent in English.
