Job Description
Basic Function:
 
Supervises the operations of the wellhead towers and field activities, including well test using test vessel and MPFM and test separators, ensures all field work and changes are carried out according to Company rules and regulations, efficiently and safely. Carries out fields and plant monitoring and operating plant and field processes through VDU/ DCS, monitors globally and takes suitable actions.
 
Work Performed:
 
Supervises the pre-commissioning, commissioning and star-up activities in line with the Operation. Maintenance and Integrity (OMI) Philosophy for the Project. Represents the operation team to ensure the company requirements are fully addressed / represented / covered in all aspects of the project and throughout the project life.
Reviews and Comments on operations relevant to Project documents & deliverables during EPC phases. ensuring deliverables are in compliance with operational requirements stipulated in Company standards and procedures.
Reviews and comments startup plans, Operation Test Procedures, Operating Procedures. Operating Manuals, Performance test procedures and pre-startup activities. Participates and witness SATs and attends Vendors Training.
Ensures first fill of chemical and lubricants are implemented and agreed stock are in place. Enforcing Company HSE rules on site and ensures implementation of Company PTW system.
Startup (with oil/gas-in) and troubleshooting of equipment operation after RFSU and co-ordinates to perform dynamic tests and performance test for various systems with vendors and other involved parties.
Highlights any operational problems during the handover phase and warranty period that requires contacts with the Vendors and / or Project Team's discipline Engineers.
Directs, controls and supervises the activities of a team of Contracts workforce involved in operating the Production facilities, including starting up / shutting down the wells. first-line maintenance and reservoir monitoring pressure survey. integrity checks, oil/water sampling and WHT housekeeping.
Communicates with Logistics such as Captains of marine vessels and ADA Helicopter Coordinators for marine vessels and helicopters movements for controlling flying hours. Executes and Implements Permit to Works System on the Well Head Towers as per Safety regulations. Takes leads and acts as the first line of control during the emergencies as per ULSC emergency procedures.
Monitors and supervises through the control room facilities oil and gas productions from the wellhead towers to the plant and gas injections and water Injections from the plant to the wellhead towers to meet daily/monthly production targets.
Supervises the operations of Oil. Gas and Water productions, including opening / closing wells, adjustments of wells. carries out well testing utilizing MPFM on the towers, adjusting chemical injection rates.
Issues -Permit to work" to Performing authorities - Company personnel or contractors, carrying out risk assessments on non-routine tasks including self-audits, planned inspection.
Issues Near Misses and actions all reported near misses. Motivates personnel working under him to raise Near Misses and actions all reported near misses. Coordinates inspection of the well head tower facilities when required. Carries out Well Head Towers Safety Surveys with Safety Engineer and reports and actions the deficiencies.
Prepares daily, weekly and monthly work plans for operations of well head towers. sampling, checking. chemical injections. valve maintenance keeping in view the operational requirements and optimum utilizations of resources.
Monitors and supervises through the control room facilities the operation of crude oil productions from well-head towers including crude oil production / separations. water injections and gas treatment / processing and gas injections to meet daily production targets.
Supervises the operations of oil / gas and water productions including opening, closing, adjusting wells, carries out wells flow tests utilizing test vessel/MPFM. operating wellhead equipment. controlling quantities of water injected. ensures oil and gas injection quantities and quality as required target. Control and follow up IPR as per reservoir guidelines.
Supervises Pigging operations, LIT survey / Video inspections, including tower preparations. Issues hot, cold and entry work permits for all routine / planned maintenance works to be carried out on all WHT's by maintenance boats and barges.
Supervises the preparations of such facilities for required maintenance, work over and drilling activities, certifies safe handover to and from Drilling Operations, rigless operations and Maintenance personnel, preparation and implementation of SIMOPS as per the Company guidelines and personally accepts the repaired facilities after the completion of maintenance, drilling, rigless operations and workover.
Ensures that adequate level of stock supplies and spares are always maintained for the smooth operations of wellhead towers. Issues Material requests, works requests and works orders and closes the requests on their completions.
Follows-up contractors' performance and ensures compliance with Company's safety regulations. Confirm integrity test of X-Mass tree valves for worked over / newly drilled wells prior to hand over from the Rigs ensuring that all valves are in order.
Knowledge transfer and Job training for juniors / UAE Nationals and assigned personnel by line manager.
Follows up contractors' performance and ensures compliance with Company safety regulations.
Ensures adherence, awareness and compliance of all workforces to Company's Safety regulations. Standards, Procedures and Standing Instructions. Ensures safety equipment are kept in proper operating conditions.
Works according to Company Policies, Standards. Guidelines. Procedures, Operating Procedure (OPERGUID) and technical standards.
Works in line with HSE policy and ensures awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirements:
 
Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum / Chemical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
5 - 6 years experience in an Offshore Oilfield Production / processing operations with computer knowledge.
Good knowledge of English language.
