Job Description
Job Purpose:
 
Installs,  overhauls,  commissions,      maintains     and   repairs    electrical,  electronic,   pneumatic, mechanical and analytical instruments and control systems used in oil and gas cluster as well as guiding the instruments technicians on their jobs and diagnosing           faults.
 
Principal Accountabilities:
 
Ensures work is performed within process control & safety systems with FF and HART based Instruments in the plants.
Receives work assignments from engineer and works either alone or with the assistance of fitters/ helpers as required.
Installs, maintains and repairs, electronic, pneumatic, mechanical and analytical instruments and control systems on oil and gas process plants.
Works may be performed on site or in workshops as assigned by control engineer.
Co-ordinates     with   engineer     on   faults,  required    repairs,   required    spares    and general improvements to the system.
Trouble-shoots control related minor problems and reports major problems and emergencies to instrument supervisor.
Maintains tools, test equipment in safe/ reliable conditions and maintains good housekeeping. 
Performs other duties as assigned such as taking part in training / developing new recruits and UAE national employees / developers.
Provides technical instrument maintenance in all oil  and gas process areas on SARB/ Umm Lulu including separations system, gas compression system, gas dehydration system, gas  sweetening system, crude storage and export system, flare system, power generation plant, fuel gas systems, service and instrument air system, fire water system, sprinkler system, diesel  storage system, HVAC system, Workshop and storage facilities, CCR, salt water, fresh water  and hot water  systems, emergency generators, laboratory equipment's, gymnasium equipment's.
 
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirements:
 
Secondary Technical  Certificate  plus  2  years   formal  training  in  electrical, electronic  or instrumentation related to control systems.
6 years' experience in the maintenance and repair of pneumatic and electronic instrumentation.
Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
