Work Performed:

 

• Directs, supervises and supports the day-to-day activities of IT data management Engineers in the assigned technical unit and exercises the supervisory duties at the level established by management for the position.

• Manages Storage system where complete business data is hosted.

• Manages Backup and restore operations of business data.

• Manages team and projects.

• Supports other Infrastructure teams with projects, and overlapping areas.

• Follows up technical issues, escalation and vendor management.

• Administers archiving operations of classified business data.

• Manages proper monitoring, viewing, and reporting of production disaster recovery.

• Monitors and tests the replicated data to Disaster recovery site for IT services, to ensure business continuity. 

• Develops Technical architecture and plans for expansion.

• Creates Project proposals and scope statements. Communicates the scope to IT infrastructure head, and agree on that.

• Develops and updates 5 years business plan to ensure that storage capacity are aligned with business objectives.

• Identifies candidate products, and defines evaluation criteria. Recommends products of choice.

• Invites Companies to present products and related technology solutions.

• Conducts a review of vendors delivering services, Management and negotiation of vendor, supplier and recommend them.

• Evaluates Software and hardware solutions and bids.

• Defines service level agreements (SLA) terms and conditions.

• Designs Disaster Recovery architecture, technical solution, and processes.

• Administers and controls data access permissions to prevent unauthorized access and protect data.

• Creates feasibility studies on various upgrade and enhancement project to improve data management services that are being used by end users.

Minimum Requirements:

 

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Equivalent.

• 7 years related experience in storage, backup and archiving management together with a wide   knowledge, such as high availability and disaster recovery knowledge, such as high availability and disaster recovery.

• Fluency in written and spoken English.
