Job Description
Basic Function:
 
Plans, coordinates and supervises the stores activities related to annual Plant Shutdown and each new project and modification for upgrading the Department facilities. 
Provides back up support to other Senior staff in the department. 
Monitors and progresses the material activities of project and modification work in the Plant throughout the year.
 
Work Performed:
 
Directs and supervises the consolidation and formal transfer to the Contractor of all material components reserved through SAP for the shutdown and maintain Auditable records of all transfers to the Contractor. 
Ensures the materials are handed over with the appropriate certification and verifies that a materials traceability system has been implemented.
Conducts random checks to ensure that the Contractor is managing materials in accordance with SAP procedures.
Supervises the Shutdown Contractor’s Materials Team for the implementation of materials required programmer.
Ensures accurate material status reports are maintained and produced.
Provides monthly running total value and material breakdown reports to Head of Overhaul and Planning Department.
Provides outstanding material lists to enable identification of relevant
Purchase Orders and successful expediting within timeframe.
Monitors and ensure timely arrival of all material purchased against RR, Work Request and Modifications.
Liaison with site engineers and planners to produce exact requirements to Specification and on time.
Monitors and supervises shutdown Safe Custody materials & submit Consolidate list for reuse.
Attends shutdown and related meetings as required.
Completes detailed reconciliations of all transferred materials in conjunction with the Main Overhaul Contractor and submits such findings to management.
Coordinates the materials related activities for new projects and Modifications throughout the year.
Provides support and assistance to other Supervisors when required and Covers periods while they are away from work.
Contacts with Plant personnel and Abu Dhabi Material Controllers and Procurement to discuss materials related subject.
Coordinates and supervises warehouse building modification and Improvements.
Identify AWR (Additional Work Request) material from SAP & deliver to contractor as per Company procedure.
Prepare Material Cost Report & submit to MATAP.
Follow up with procurement for vital PR or any other urgent requirement. 
Follow up with Company transit store for delivery of Material to DAS prior to shut down & take priority form TLP(TA) incase space constrain to barge. 
Produce daily report to TLP(TA) for balance martial to transport from Company Transit store & identify any special barge requirement in order to avoid delay in material delivery due to weather impact or other reason.  
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirements:
 
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Material management or Equivalent.
8-12  years experience in materials inspection, materials control and materials  handling related to Gas or Petrochemical Industry of which at least 3 years in supervisory capacity  with particular emphasis on materials operations aspect with knowledge of computerized materials control system (SAP preferable). Sound knowledge in the use of MS Office applications.
Fully conversant with materials specifications standards and certifications.                                                          
Good knowledge of environmental hazardous materials and safety data sheets.
Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
