Basic Function:

 

• Receive instructions from Materials Officer and assisting him in performing his job.

• Offloading incoming cargo from the containers and baskets along with Materials Officer.

• To assist Materials Officer to collect consignment from the designated area.

• Open the consignment and keep the material ready for technical evaluation by the Materials Officer and further take it into stock.

• Assisting Materials Officer during all stages of receiving materials, writing MESC numbers on the item, repack the items safely for a long term storage and take them to assigned location accordingly.

• Keep the warehouse clean and tidy (Housekeeping).

• Collect materials from location with Materials Officer and pack safely to issue materials to various sites.

• Assisting Materials Officer to handle chemicals for receiving, storing and issuing.

• Ensure that work carried out safely as per HSE requirement.

• Updating labels for new received items.

• May use a forklift/side reach in loading and unloading during issue, storage and moving goods around the warehouse.

Minimum Requirements:

 

• Completion of Secondary education (12 years) or equivalent.

• 5-6 years’ experience in storekeeping. 3 years of which should have been at the level of senior storekeeper in petrochemical or oil industry with knowledge of warehouse computerized system.

• Good knowledge of written and spoken English.

• Possession of UAE valid driving license is preferable.
