Job Description
Basic Function:
 
Monitors and verifies that all works undertaken and his subordinates fully comply with Company HSE Management system, HSE Regulations, Operations & Maintenance Procedures and PTW system. Supervises the work of Instrument Senior Control Technician, Technicians and Fitters in the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, mechanical and analytical measurement and control systems.
 
Work Performed:
 
Supervises and directs the work of Senior Control Technicians, assigning work, allocating priorities and spot-checking completed work. Performs supervisory functions as per operational requirements.
Participates in carrying out the more complex or urgent work assignments, and supervises the routine maintenance of all Control Systems and components both in the workshop and on site.
Liaises with other Sections’ and Departments where there is an overlapping of interests i.e. Mechanical and Electrical. Also with Projects for loop test acceptance and handing over of equipment.
Initiates and recommends to his Senior Engineer improvements to existing systems. Following approval will supervise installation of minor modifications/improvements.
Signs Stores Requisitions and assists in making amendments to the materials vocabulary to ensure adequate stock levels.
Performs other related duties, i.e. Housekeeping Audits, Checks on Fire Appliances located at the workpoint, Inspection of the First Aide Book and Hazard Report Book, Implementation of the HSEMS for Das together with the Monthly Safety Returns, recording and analysis of the issue of PPE.
Ensures all the subordinates are aware of the Company’s HSEMS. Selects personnel for the positions of ‘Safety’ and ‘Housekeeping’ Officer on a bi-weekly basis.
Ensures that all personnel under his control area familiar with and comply with the Company’s HSE regulations and operating & Maintenance procedures. Conducts employee monthly group safety meetings and provides topics for discussion.
Responsible for daily toolbox meetings, maintenance allocation log, timesheet accuracy and maintenance record updates. Supervises the training of Junior UAE National Graduate Engineers and Technicians.
Guides, directs and supervises subordinates to ensure they work to their best potential and contribute effectively as a Team.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirements:
 
Bachelor Degree in instrumentation Engineering and Control Systems / Successful completion of CAMS / Competency Assessment programme or equivalent.
5 – 6 years’ experience in instrumentation and control works.
Driving license is a must.
Proficient in English Language.
