Job Description
Basic Function:
 
Leads the Operations Planning team and supervise the day-to-day operations pertaining to maintenance and engineering activities as well as the preparation and delivery of relevant plans (such as the Asset Upgrade & Replacement, Integrated Master, Maintenance & S/D, and Well Hook Up plans) while ensuring the effective and efficient provision of such activities, and the alignment between internal and external stakeholders in order to help optimize production levels, prolong the life of equipment, and achieve the Umm Shad & Nasr Asset performance targets. 
 
Work Performed: 
 
Assists the Manager - Planning & Strategy (US) in preparing the Operations Planning function budget as well as any budgets for maintenance and engineering schemes, monitor the financial performance versus the budget, and update the Manager - Planning & Strategy (US) on deviations and gaps with proposals on how to improve performance. 
Organizes and supervises the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within the Operations Planning team is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with Company's operating procedures and policies as well as the shareholders' guidelines. 
Provides on-the-job training and constructive feedback to all subordinates to support their overall development as well as develop and support the personal and professional development of UAE Nationals in order to contribute in preparing a UAE National workforce that drives Company and achieves its - and its shareholders' - business objectives. 
Supervises and follow up on the timely and accurate preparation and update of the Asset Replacement, Well Hook Up, Inspection, Maintenance, and SID plans on quarterly basis (for all equipment including lifting, pressure, rotating, mechanical, structural, electrical, etc.) in order to help prolong the life of equipment, avoid disruptions in production, and ensure production targets are met. 
Leads the team in preparing the Integrated Master Plan while ensuring that all activities being performed by the drilling, maintenance, projects, integrity, frontline, etc. teams - as well as any other external stakeholders - are being accurately reflected so as to avoid overlaps and clashes in operations, minimize potential losses, optimize resource allocation, and ultimately contribute in achieving targeted production rates for the Asset. 
Supports the Reservoir and Production divisions by managing hook-up plans and by preparing and regularly updating the Production Assurance team on same. 
Develops. leads, supervises, and control US Asset input to effective capacity model, its periodic update, and activity change management according to production scenario. 
Interfaces with Projects and ensure the US/NS Asset best interest is met while projects are executed. 
Ensures the timely and effective completion of maintenance activities while also monitoring all planned and unplanned maintenance activities on the CMMS in order to formulate risk mitigation plans and minimize back logs as per the shareholders' guidelines. 
Supervises the planning and tracking of Plant Modification Requests and Engineering Study Work Requests while ensuring that they are aligned to field execution activities as per the operations' requirements so as to abide by shareholder guidelines. 
Advise the Manager - Planning & Strategy (US) and relevant internal and external stakeholders on all abnormal and critical situations from operational, integrity, and execution perspectives, and provide the necessary recommendations and support to mitigate such situations. 
Supervises the subordinates' daily activities to ensure their compliance to all relevant QHSSE management policies, procedures, and controls as well as shareholders' guidelines in order to contribute in providing a safe, world class, secure, and environmentally responsible workplace to employees and contractors. 
Guides subordinates in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices while taking into account international leading practices and technologies in the Oil & Gas spectrum, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement. 
Supervises the effective implementation of policies, systems, and procedure so that all relevant procedural/ operational/ legislative/ shareholder requirements and guidelines are fulfilled while delivering a quality and cost-effective service. 
Supervises and provides inputs in the preparation of timely and accurate statements, studies, and reports to meet the Umm Shaif & Nasr Asset Business Unit and the Planning & Strategy Department requirements, policies, and standards. 
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirements:
 
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering or any other equivalent. 
10 - 12 years of relevant work experience in the Oil & Gas industry with at least five years' experience in a senior supervisory role. 
Knowledge in relevant maintenance and engineering practices, compliance principles, and planning methodologies as well as CMMS. 
Ability to handle and manage crisis and emergency scenarios, team management and leadership, decision making, conceptual thinking, problem solving, risk management, ability to work under pressure, computer proficiency (including Primavera), fluent in written and spoken English, and communication and interpersonal skills.
