Job Description
Purpose of Job
 
Direct and oversee the provision of technical assessment of company’s operational assets and act as technical interface between sites, Management and other entities in order to proactively pursue opportunities for optimization of practices and improvement of performance in technical areas to achieve standards set under Operations Excellence, thereby improving company bottom-line. Lead a team of Process Engineering & Integrity Assurance professionals to develop and execute best-in-class technical strategies which reinforces the overall business objective for Operations Excellence and drive a culture of Technical Excellence.
 
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Job Requirements
 
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical/Mechanical) or equivalent degree.
12 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry with at least 5 years in a relevant senior functional management role;
5 + years of demonstrated experience in Operations Excellence or related roles with good understanding of the continuous improvement principles, systems and processes across several functions and organizations.
Wide range of experience in Refining roles, including Technical, Operations and/or Maintenance
Experience establishing refining strategy for long term goals of Operations
Ability to analyse and implement changes that result in improved efficiency, greater process throughput, reduced operating costs and improved plant maintainability
Exceptional skills in leadership, coaching, analytical problem solving and strong business acumen
Promote team work and spirit within the team to achieve functional goals
Ability to effectively exchange information with peers, management and other personnel
Experience building a learning culture of continuous improvement and sustainability
Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team.
Ability to build effective working relationships, persuade and influence, and problem-solve complex issues
Strategic thinking.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
