Project
 
3D Seismic Acquisition Survey  for Abu Dhabi National Oil Company.  The work area combines land, coastlines, transition zone, shallow marine and offshore waters.
 
Responsibilities and Requirements
 
The incumbent will be the consultant with prime responsibility for ensuring acquisition contractor ship’s safety, reporting and management meet National and COMPANY’s requirements and will be the adjudicator on these requirements.
The Consultant shall have more than 10 years’ experience as a foreign going Chief Officer or Master, of which at least 5 years must be in a supervisory or management capacity. Preference will be given to those candidates proposed who have extensive experience on seismic surveys both fixed seabed and towed streamer and is 
proficient on anchoring characteristics of vessels requiring fixed anchor patterns. The candidate must hold current ship’s operations credentials such as the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) and other valid IMO certification required for the rank of Chief Officer or Master.
Reference shall be made to the COMPANY Marine Vessel & Crew Standard (MV&CS). 
 
Duties will comprise but not be limited to:
 
Acting as COMPANY’s authority in the field for marine vessel considerations; Reporting to QCQA Team Leader;
Supporting all other Consultants for marine vessel operations advice and requirements;
Issuing marine vessel information for inclusion to daily production reports in a format and at a time as agreed with COMPANY;
Ensuring the acquisition contractor is working to the required operational standards and specifications in all respects required in the MV&CS. For the avoidance of doubt, this means all those duties ordinarily expected of an experienced marine vessel expert in terms, operations control for ship’s safety as required to fulfil COMPANY obligations and compliance to standing COMPANY marine standards, required marine audits including drills, operations effectiveness, compliance with National and ADNOC Code of Practice;
Coordinating support for acquisition activities especially where any marine vessel’s movement will cause changes to activity or management such as the setting of mandatory marine requirements, anchoring and passage;
Supplying and supporting initiatives through experience for the betterment of the seismic survey.
The consultant will be expected to create, maintain and deliver a full marine operations report for the seismic activities over the period of the survey with correlation to Met Ocean conditions at the time.
Consultant will be expected to produce a comprehensive joint final report on the survey with the other Consultants .
Start-Up Audit Specialist. Two (2) One for Data Acquisition equipment, systems and control auditing. One for Geodetic Control, Positioning and Navigation equipment, systems and control auditing.
