Job Description
Duties to be performed
 
To participate in developing the new Contract writing the draft documents and Contract administration.
Responsible to control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
To provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress to the preparation of customer billing processes, etc
Perform technical and commercial review of tenders (subcontractor’s quotations) for the preparation of Service agreements.
To ensure effective project implementation and utilize productive reports from the creation of WBS with the use of project management system to monitor the status of all purchases, invoicing and delivery up to the closure of the project.
Monitor the contractor’s progress and performance to ensure deliverables and services conform to the contract requirements.
Perform project costing related reporting to the team and management’s review on a monthly basis to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget.
Provide cost control and planning advice to the internal PMT team as and when required.
Verifying the payments consistent with contract terms
Documenting significant events and maintain appropriate records.
Develope a timetable and start and end date for each performance component.  Include milestones with accompanying timeframes, and monitoring and reporting requirements.
Monitor contractor activity on a specified frequency to identify problem areas.
Meeting with the contractor on a regular basis to review progress, discuss problems and consider necessary changes.
Establish control of correspondence, data and reports.
Work closely with Sr. Contract Control Engineer in service areas to control expenditure.
 
Desired Candidate Profile
Education Qualification and Experience Requirements
 
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) 
Min 8-12 years relevant and similar capacity in project estimating and cost controlling out of which years 5 years in Oil and Gas industry.
Technically strong in project cost planning, scheduling and reporting.
Knowledge in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management System, MS Project and SAP software is highly advantageous. Knowledge in Primavera is added advantage
Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills and meticulous.
Possess good project background and technical writing ability and skills.
Mature, proactive, resourceful and hands-on with good initiative.
Independent worker who is able to work well with minimal supervision.
Fast worker with ability to work well under stress.
