Job Description
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
 
Reviews preventive maintenance plans / schedules and preparation of task list / maintenance programmes for mechanical equipment in the plant, using equipment past performance and manufacturers data a supervises the execution of such programmes.
Prepares detailed standardisation equipment check lists for routine maintenance.
Provide technical guidance in shutdown job and preparation of contract scope of work preparation.
Provides guidance and advice on actions to be taken on Mechanical chronic problems, and reviews requirement for major repair and spares replacements.
Ensures that all mechanical maintenance services are provided safely and efficiently in accordance with internationally recognised engineering standard.
Deals with emergency requirements immediately, allocating resources providing technical advice and checking work at various stages.
Provides engineering assistance to other Divisions in the technical standardisation, Mechanical design, Rotating equipment and specification of modifications or new equipment installations and projects.
Technically reviews bids for the supply of the new equipment
Liaises with manufacturer's representatives as required in the installation, commissioning and post commissioning periods, to discuss and rectify any equipment deficiency.
Liaises with Reliability Mechanical Section to ensure the provision of expert advice, support in relevant areas (e.g. RAM Studies, RCM, RCA, FMEA, Bad Actor, Equipment Hierarchy, Asset Criticality Analysis, etc.) and act as interface between site Operations and other entities across the Company in order to establish and sustain the effectiveness,
Support site operations/maintenance and technical projects in Mechanical Engineering Condition Monitoring maintenance engineering, Reliability, rotating Equipment and provide direction for the changes MOCs if any for plant operations, in specifications/design of EPC for all projects, to ensure consistent application of the technical standards and designs.
Review & update Reliability and Asset Life Extension framework and standards and ensure Continually improved in order to establish consistent approaches that deliver improved efficiency-and effectiveness across all assets, thereby contributing to the company objectives in the safety, integrity and reliability.
Ensure that Company specifications and technical practices are up to date. 
Conduct audits and support all Mechanical/rotating equipment operating reliably at plants/sites and Projects being executed in line with the company's Engineering Specs/Maintenance- reliability standards.
Ensure state-of-the-art technology is applied in the selection of Mechanical/Rotating Equipment packages and materials to enhance productivity.
Verify that the development of all engineering design work are at optimum levels and are uniform, standardized and compatible in line with company and industry standards
 
Desired Candidate Profile
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
 
Bachelors degree in relevant Engineering discipline.
8 years of similar experience with at least 6 years in a relevant senior supervisory role; managing engineering multi-disciplinary functions for the design of the assets/facilities, exposure to preparation of Front End Engineering and Design packages.
