Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

 

  • Prepares overall  Master maintenance and shutdown Planning Program/Schedule, work break down structure, Monitoring / Controlling tools to ensure smooth execution of Maintenance schemes/ Shutdown programs / Activities by providing all the required support to individuals.
  • Prepares various Divisional Progress Reports for submission to management and other divisions
  • Coordinates team activities in achieving Business Objectives targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and individual Business Focused Objectives and ensures assurance of the planning activities.
  • Coordinates maintenance support / technical support teams’ efforts to achieve ultimate goal of fulfilling Company’s Vision, Mission and Values.
  •  Manages / Monitors/Updates budget requirement & phasing for ongoing & new schemes handled by operation support.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

  • Collaborates with various stakeholders (Integrity/ Production/ projects/Maintenance Support etc.) for preparation of projects shutdown interface plan , short/long term work programs for major Schemes/major maintenance/individual projects/action plan in line with Company’s Business Plan.
  • Prepares & sets up, in line with Company’s Business Plan, 1&5 year activities/action plan for major maintenance, Shutdown, inspection and other related activities managed by the Division and effectively, collates its compliance strategy, co-ordinates, monitors, updates progress and reports to Team Leader on possible floats/slippages/constraints.
  • Prepares work programs, evaluates and identifies resources’ requirements. Reviews and co-ordinates commercial plan requirements.
  • Studies and analyzes the maintenance works and establish priorities for capital and major maintenance schemes. Sets up executive Action Plan for all maintenance, Inspection work including spare parts requirements, as necessary.
  • Ensures Division’s maintenance, shutdown and operations activities are carried out according to agreed plans.
  • Produces & develops the Two-Year Integrated Activity Plan including engineering & maintenance Schemes, barge/boat plan, WHT campaign, major inspections/overhauls, and shutdowns plan, etc.
  • Prepares the detailed preparation plan for individual major schemes – prepares the Two-Year overall program ensuring maximum utilization of overall resources and optimum cost. Maintains a close follow up of major schemes execution, analyzes progress, reports deviations from the program and proposes alternative solutions.
  • Establishes overall maintenance work programs to be executed from the barge at various offshore locations and equipment.
  • Develops/establishes work program for maintenance of offshore facilities.
  • Compiles Work requests for onshore works, identifies areas of irregularities and attends barge co-ordination meetings.
  • Assists in preparing and reviewing KPI’s, PCR’s, and SLA’s to ensure BU Division Managers goals are fully met.
  • Updates and controls the Plan/Work Program for the Division’s 5-Year Plan for all the integrated activities.
  • Develops/maintains plans for offshore barges and other marine vessels.
  • Assists OPT in preparing BU Management & Shareholders, including TCM & PFISC Meetings, Audits, Workshops and Risk Register Actions Plan.
  • Attends as requested regular management and coordination/review meetings, prepares agenda and minutes of meetings.
  • Inputs/updates/controls the data into the FSOPR Model. Challenges the subject data with FD for integration/validation purposes.
  • Assists OPT in providing cost effective solutions of facility operational restrictions and enhancement to meet committed oil production targets and to highlight the areas hindering to achieve the target.
  • Attends site visits as when required to provide input on Operations Planning related issues.
  • Provides input in updating and monitoring the Shareholders/BU Actions Tracking Profile.
  • Prepares and monitors the major maintenance budget and relevant phasing.
  • Liaises with OPT Budget Requests as per approved Business Plan for capital and operating budgets. Monitors the processing and phasing of expenditures.
  • Provides input into Schemes/BR/AFE Budget strategy compiling and analyzing inputs, in coordinating with concerned RO’s.
  •  Follows-up, monitors and reports on corrective actions to improve work practice and ensures meeting target dates and budget. Ensures proper identification and allocation of materials to the system.
  • Monitors deviations from work programs and reports to team leaders the possible impact on other programs and recommends corrective actions. Liaises with planning & cost coordination units to ensure the monitoring of work programs, in terms of duration, target dates, resources and materials. Liaises with Commercial Division’s personnel to ensure required materials are identified properly.
  • Coordinates divisional HSE meetings, activities and audits, and ensures adherence to the Company’s HSE rules and regulations. Coordinates and keeps track of the upgrade and development of Company’s Engineering Standards and Procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Supervisor such as inter divisional audit of work practices, assessing contractors programs, procedures and performance and appraising interfaces with divisional programs, maintaining engineering records up-to-date participating in engineering studies, task forces, workshops…etc.
  • Developing / updating the bedding plan in view of each schemes schedule by coordinating with each job officer.

 

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Qualification

 

  • Bachelor Degree in an engineering discipline from a recognised university.

 

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

 

  • 10-12 years’ experience in multi-discipline planning of Engineering and Maintenance activities in an oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
  • Very good computer knowledge and hands-on experience in MS Project / Primavera or any modern computerized planning package and at least one Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
