Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

 

Directs, manages, and monitors Shutdown and Campaigns Departments strategies and operations including activities such as wellhead towers maintenance, Shutdown/major overhaul & other maintenance campaigns for ensuring fitness for service for safe and reliable of offshore facilities in LZ/US/NASR fields.

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

  • Accountable for leading shutdown and campaign and barge teams for delivering safe and successful facilities and wellhead tower campaigns while minimizing production downtime.
  • Accountable for working in close collaboration with Technical Support and maintenance departments to successfully deliver Operations Support  Division’s accountabilities and deliverables
  • Accountable for working in collaboration with business unit key stakeholders like site ,operational planning , field development and asset integrity stakeholders for formulation and implementation of optimized integrated plan for shutdown and campaign department activities.
  • Manages and ensures the effective cascading of the Division strategy into effective business and operational plans across the shutdown and campaign department teams in order to achieve the Division’s targets and help in accomplishing the overall strategy.
  • Directs and manages the implementation of division’s short term and long term strategy pertaining to Shut down and campaign department functions, as well as its operational plans in order to ensure fitness for service and availability of offshore facilities for safe and reliable operations.
  • Directs Shutdown and campaign department activities  follows up on the progress of same while providing guidance and advices to the relevant teams in order to ensure the execution and delivery as per the set budgets, timeframes, and quality standards to satisfy codes and standards.
  • Provides inputs/support to the division head  to for developing Asset Replacement Plans, review and advice expert opinion on developed medium and long-term Asset Replacement Plans while supporting in the preparation of strategies for same and in analyzing the capital expenditures required so as to contribute in the Asset’s business planning, and satisfy and shareholders’ requirements.
  • Supports Division head in developing the Asset Business Unit strategy, and formulate and leads the execution of the Operations Support strategy (relevant to functions of shutdown and campaigns department) in line with the short, medium and long-term objectives.
  • Member of Offshore Corporate Shutdown Management committee (CSMC) which has been established to ensure the full integration with upstream & downstream stakeholders with a mandate of optimized impact on production, alignment of shutdown events, avoiding un-planned shutdowns and execution of the planned shutdown activities at all respective business units/ sites effectively in a safe manner.
  • Plans, supervises and coordinates the activities of assigned personnel in Shutdown & Campaigns Team. Performs supervisory duties and exercises financial authority at the level established by management for the position. Reviews/ participates in establishing 1 and 5 year plans for shutdown and special campaigns for all offshore facilities. Ensures/establish performance standards and support to team members to facilitate delivery of performance objectives.
  • Develops detailed scope of works for shutdown and special campaigns incorporating operating authority requirements, FC’s, Engineering Support Team packages and integrity work requests. Develops execution plan and resources requirements for SBIM remedial repair packages.
  • Liaises with UZ-Site Maintenance Teams to optimize resources utilization for shutdowns and campaigns including manpower, marine spread, etc..
  • Develops commercial strategy for planned activities including setting tendering strategies, pre-qualifying contractors’, and lump sum contract services. 
  • Secures required materials and equipment for planned activities including timely issuing of long lead PR/MR’s to ensure timely availability.
  • Closely coordinate with site teams for the supervision/control the execution of shutdown and campaigns. Follows up and ensures completion of post shutdown and campaign close out report.
  • Ensures activities synchronization so that production targets are not compromised and ensure integrity and certification of plant and equipment is maintained.
  • Participates in developing standards and techniques of maintenance to optimize availability and cost.
  • Prepares budget for shutdowns and campaigns activities and exercise control over expenditure.
  • Works inline with HSE regulations and HSE Management systems and ensures compliance to the same by sub-ordinates and by contracted crews/contractors.

 

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Qualification

 

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering Discipline or equivalent.

 

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

 

  • 15 years of experience, including at least 10 years in leadership roles, relevant work experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • In-depth knowledge in relevant Oil & Gas practices/compliance principles/methodologies with proven theoretical and practical experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams
  • Fluent in English.
