Job Description



Plans, co-ordinates and performs the daily inspection activities necessary to monitor the condition of all offshore plant, equipment, structures and facilities installed above sea level, to ensure all plant and equipment is maintained in good working order. Provides back-up, technical support and advice to site managements & ID on the condition of the equipment, to ensure engineering integrity and adequate and safe operating conditions are met. Manages NDT contractors and Third Party certifying authorities carrying out crane and lifting tackle inspections and contractors performing other integrity related activities. Recommends necessary repairs/replacements & validate the execution of repairs. Issues and endorses inspection reports, amends and updates “Maximo” data so as to have true and accurate documentation as to the integrity of the equipment. Ensures compliance to the company’s Code of Practice for Plants in service HSE policy, standards and regulations as well as international standards, codes and regulations. Gives training and familiarization of Junior UAE nationals and other new employees. As and when required conducts assessment of CAMS juniors progress.




  • Participates in frequent and regular reviews by site team of Risk register, Shareholders audit, Outlook planning, Integrity KPI, performance contracts etc.
  • Ensure the implementation of ITP approved for site execution of PMRs & schemes Provides by the ‘technical support div& brown filed.
  • Takes an active part in the implementation of the offshore inspection integrity schemes (or campaign), co-ordinates all site activities.
  • Participates fully in HSE programs. Attends and contributes to safely committee meetings and ensure satisfactory implementation of any HSE related recommendations or requirements. Organize, plan and carry out the required Group safety meetings & behavioral safety audits.
  • Coordinate with ID for the technical issues related to material engineering, failure analysis, Fitness for Service (FFS), welding, coating solutions, corrosion control & prevention, structures etc, to ensure best practices.
  • Perform required PM Inspections in timely manner and follow up with site Operations & Maintenance to comply with Integrity KPI.
  • Ensure implementation & compliance with Offshore CP-107  & Guidelines for Extension of Equipment Endorsement document to extend endorsement  of overdue items
  • Provide technical support to shut down campaign team s for overhauls of offshore plants eg. GG2, Gas injection plant, etc., to effectively complete the shutdowns scope.
  • Gives work directions and co-ordinates the activities of NDT personnel, plans and the follow up of the progress achieved.
  • Support Junior UAE nationals to complete the CAMS Integration and on job Training.


Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor Degree in relevant Engineering or Equivalent


Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • 8 – 9 years experience in the Oil & Petrochemical Industry covering all aspects of inspection, corrosion and mechanical engineering, of which at least 4 years should be in a senior engineer capacity.

Professional Certifications

  • A good knowledge in  the international standards & codes  of  service inspection such as API 510, 570
