Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

 

Lead and manage the site maintenance function and maintenance departments. Exercise high level planning, coordination and command over all site maintenance operations to ensure optimum availability/reliability of plant/equipment to meet the oil & gas production and water injection targets while maintaining high level of integrity and HSE standards. Single point interface with corporate maintenance department having the ultimate responsibility in applying the maintenance and integrity management systems.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Lead and manage the site maintenance departments to ensure optimum availability/reliability of plant/equipment to meet the oil & gas production and water injection targets while maintaining high level of integrity and HSE standards
  • Exercise high level command and coordination over all site maintenance operations to ensure the maintenance function yields its intended deliverables in accordance with company production and HSE objectives.
  • Monitors and guide the site maintenance planning process to ensure optimum utilization of resources, synchronization of maintenance activities and optimization Of down time.
  • Focal maintenance entity contributing in the development and implementation of site internal processes and interface management between the maintenance departments, integrity/HSE and production operations entities.
  • Drive maintenance KPI's achievement and set yearly objectives for the maintenance division to ensure they are fully aligned with corporate five years plan and higher level KPIs.
  • Review preparedness and synergy of site maintenance teams to ensure full preparedness to recover from plant breakdowns in shortest time.
  • Initiate and propose high level strategy towards the major maintenance and plant renovation/upgrading/replacement requirements against plant aging and equipment obsolescence
  • Promote maintenance best practices and ensure lessons learned are fully shared between onshore and offshore maintenance teams.
  • Monitors and guides the implementation of balanced and optimized preventive maintenance programs to minimize unplanned breakdowns and plant outages.
  • Develops the annual maintenance operating plan and the 5 years maintenance plan.
  • Assess and manage the performance of the maintenance teams to ensure motivation and maximizing their output.
  • Maintain and promote an overall Company maintenance philosophy.
  • Develop and manage career development plans as per CAMS requirement for all maintenance young UAE Nationals Engineers.
  • Act as Maintenance Technical Authority.
  • Guide and Develops Maintenance KPI's in line with industry standards.
  • Decides on priorities to allocate resources to the right balance between HSE/Integrity and production uptime.
  • Manage the annual operating plan/budgets effectively within the KPI's boundary.

 

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Qualification

 

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical / Control / Electrical Disciplines or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Oil & Petrochemical industry with background of modern maintenance systems with min. 5 years in a leadership/management role.

 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

 

  • Technical Know-how of Rotating & Static equipment, Mechanical, Instrument and control and Electrical engineering. Has experience in maintenance / repair techniques and MMS, Equipment and plant design and safeguarding, troubleshooting & planning skills.
  • Considerable managerial know-how is required for planning, organizing and executing various interconnected operational activities to propose and execute most economical, practical and acceptable solutions to ensure short and long term resolution of issues at plant.
  • High capability in identifying and resolving complex problems under stressful environment, multiple constraints and time limitations, requiring considerable degree of in-depth analysis, weighing of multiple options and creative thinking to arrive at conclusion.
  • Recognized ability in leading multiple teams coupled with high level of interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to influence decision making.
