Desired Candidate Profile
Duties and Responsibilites but not limited to:-
Daily reporting and presenting to the management of all the projects and ideas
Providing technical systems management for our UNIX and Red Hat systems infrastructure as an Administrator/ Systems Manager.
Provisioning, installation / configuration, operation, maintenance, monitoring and technical support of the Boston Children's Hospital production, development and disaster recovery computer systems and related infrastructure.
Interacting with Application, Database Administration, Network Support, Operations and End User groups along with vendors to design and evaluate and implement new computer systems and associated applications.
Providing support and consulting to other IT groups and the user communities.
Hands on expertise with the following Operating Systems: Red Hat Linux and AIX. A working knowledge of programming/scripting languages, Storage Area Networks and VMware is preferred.
Experience with EPIC and Cache databases would be a plus.
Maintain and monitor hundreds of Oracle and SQL Server installations hosting thousands of databases
Utilize a variety of tools to assess DB health and performance
Perform proactive capacity analysis on database servers and stay ahead of capacity requirements
Standardize operations across disparate product lines at the DB tier
Make recommendations on how to reduce hosting complexity/improve operational agility and efficiency
Ensure compliance with evolving industry standards and best practices
Ensure compliance with Deltek, industry, and regulatory security and compliance standards
Work with cross-functional teams to assist in application and hosting optimization
Respond effectively to incidents and outages
Produce documentation related to configurations, processes, and procedures
Automate database management and maintenance activities
Provide on-call support as required Analysing data to inform business decisions.
Ability to translate user needs to innovative application solutions.
Knowledge of modern system and application architecture, protocols, design and best practices.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, methods, and techniques within
Applications Administration, programming, and scripting.
Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work effectively with wide  range of constituencies.
Ability to determine nature and cause of complex problems, coordinate solutions.
Knowledge or experience with cloud-based applications and tools – Administration and support.
Ability to lead projects and initiatives utilizing good communication, planning, and professionalism.
Ability to plan, design, coordinate installation, test, and modify complex systems, subsystems,
and networks.
Knowledge of Beanshell scripting / programming, PowerShell a plus.
Knowledge or experience with any IDM, Microsoft Identity Manager, Sailpoint, Okta, etc.
Knowledge of LDAP / Connector based systems. Queries, connections, etc.
Knowledge or experience with Identity concepts, RBAC, Access and authorization differentiation. etc
Diagnose and correct Microsoft Hyper-V VM server issues
Perform daily and advanced management and administration of Hyper-V VMs via Microsoft System Centre SCVMM
Ability to install and configure Windows Server software
Recommend software and hardware enhancements
Ability to manage and administer iDRAC or other remote console software for servers. (specifically, for Dell EMC or HP servers)
Responding to users' request for assistance via problem management and tracking software
Responding to technical staff's request for assistance via problem management and tracking software, 
Providing remote help desk and server support to remote office administrators.
Providing software and hardware familiarization overviews with technical staff.
Coordinate with internal IT teams and vendors in escalation and troubleshooting.
Act as technical liaison to the ADDA section.
Diagnose and correct computer systems' issues.
Provide hands-on system administration support, system maintenance and operations support.
Experience administering Windows servers in a hyper converged environment.
Experience administering and maintaining DFS files and shares.
Ability to work with users' and other technicians with varying IT backgrounds
Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
Microsoft MCSE: Core Infrastructure or MCSA: Server 2012 or 2016 certification; and the
Ability to work well under pressure.
