Job Description

Job duties but not limited to:-

Carry Out Design review of MEP calculation reports, technical specifications, and design layouts in line with client / local authority requirements and international standards. Assist in the receipt and review of MEP design submittals.
Carry out selection of MEP (HVAC and plumbing and firefighting/fire alarm) equipment. Validate design issues related to MEP and suggest alternative solutions.
Prepare scope of work, Bill of quantities related to all Mechanical system and MEP activities.
Review HVAC cooling load calculation using software HAP software, Plumbing calculations, Water demand calculations.
Review BMS system and its relevant software module.
Prepare and review HVAC design layouts, sewage network, drainage network, storm water, firefighting network, and plumbing networks (portable, process, irrigation, cooling) by assisting the design drafting personnel.
Review Contractor’s deliverables including GA drawings, detailed drawings, BOQ etc. for compliance with the design intent and return with appropriate comments / approval within the specified contractual period.
Review contractor’s mechanical shop drawing in conjunction with the structural, architectural, and electrical engineers to ensure engineering co-ordination and advise accordingly.
Review Contractor’s material approvals requests along with samples against specified technical performance requirements and advise on the appropriateness of the proposals.
Review Contractor’s proposed sub-contractor associated with the engineering works from a technical standpoint.
Attend site inspection, equipment testing, commissioning including SAT / FAT and coordination with authority in obtaining required approvals.
Provide support to the project department and field engineering to resolve contractor technical queries and resultant field changes, where required prepare technical clarifications to the tendered design to suit specific on-site construction and co-ordination issues.
Review of Permit to Work documents including method of statements and Risk Assessment in co-ordination with HSE.
Attend Material Inspection Request raised by contractor and verifying material if is as per approved material / project specifications.
Attend Work Inspection Request raised by contractor at site to ensure execution works is being carried out in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national, or international standards
Attend site progress meetings and daily visiting site to monitor progress as per Project schedule of project and supporting contractor to mitigate any obstructions.
Calculate quantities of material used / installed at project and to verify / certify work executed by contractor.
Maintain a record of quantities of work performed as project schedule on daily basis.   
Coordinate with other stakeholder / teams to facilitate uninterrupted execution of project works and to ensure minimum interruption to operations.
Ensure and monitoring contractor is carrying out works as per Company’s HSE standards.

Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirement:-
Bachelor’s Engineering degree – Mechanical.
Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting package.
Design software experience required to perform MEP calculations for developing design drawings
12 years of working Experience
•  Professional in English Language ( reading, speaking and writing )
•  Professional in Arabic Language ( reading, speaking and writing ) is an advanatage
