Job Description: 

- The Senior Contract Engineer will be responsible for providing contract management expertise and support relating to CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Managed projects. They study the legalities of contracts and help to negotiate terms and conditions with Contractors/ Consultants and third parties, before drawing up legal documents to outline terms of service and project deliverables.

 

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university

- Minimum 15 years’ experience in Contract Management on large projects.

- Create and maintain relationships with Consultants/Contractors of CPD Managed Contracts and serve as the singular point of contact for matters concerning contracts.

- Subject matter expert on contract management within engineering & construction sectors.

- Promote and facilitate improved relationships between CPD and its suppliers while ensuring that Company gets the best value and efficiencies from its supply chain.

- Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress.

- Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters.

- Monitor contracts and move forward with close-out, extension or renewal according to what’s best for the company.

- Interface between Consultants / Contractors to tackle and solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with the company itself.

- Regularly interface with Supply Chain team within Business Support Directorate on behalf of CPD.  Maintain a good working relationship between directorates to maximize opportunities for improving contracts and relationship with supply chain.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Experience of working internationally (preference UAE experience).
