Supervise and perform maintenance of Electrical equipment in the Plant to ensure equipment availability, reliability and integrity.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensure availability of required resources for Electrical equipment maintenance execution and schedule expectations to complete the job safely and in time.
• Plan, schedule, execute and supervise the Preventive/Predictive maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure reliability, availability and safe operations.
• Inspect / follow up tasks progress and provide report to ensure timely and quality job execution.
• Ensure that maintenance records, fault reports, logbooks, are kept up-to-date. Update refurbished equipment database and history for the equipment and their accessories to ensure effective equipment keeping.
• Authorize the issuance of electrical isolation certificates/ various maintenance work permits to ensure safe operation.
• Maintain Electrical equipment in line with HSECES guidelines and ensure compliance to MAT requirements.
• Participate and conduct daily /weekly safety toolbox talks to discuss on safety and methods of completing job tasks.
• Supervise the testing and commissioning of new or modified equipment or systems, ensuring that repairs/ installations conform to correct methods and safety procedures.
• Participate in the planning, scheduling and execution of shutdown and major overhaul maintenance activities.
• Follow the guidelines mentioned in Electrical Safety Rules (ESR) Electrical Safety Procedures(ESP) to ensure safe handling of all fixed and portable electrical equipment at facility.
• • Monitor availability of tools, equipment, and parts for scheduled jobs to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare list of spares, tools and materials required for the maintenance jobs and coordinate with supervisor for Purchase/Material requisitions. Inspect new materials' specifications to meet specifications and suitability.

QUALIFICATIONS. EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
• 5 years of experience as a supervisory role for electrical maintenance activities within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
• Knowledge and experience on hazardous area classification and installation and maintenance of Ex-proof electrical equipment in Oil & Gas industries.
• Exposure in operational, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance activities.
• Sound knowledge about high, medium and low voltage systems, electrical equipment and shutdown activities.
• Good understanding about plant start-up and commissioning activities.
• Good knowledge about electrical safety requirements and HSE procedures & practices.
• Planning and Organising, Scheduling and Coordinating, Checking, Examining and Recording

  • supervisor (electrical maintenance activities in O&G): 5 years (Preferred)
  • plant start-up and commissioning activities: 5 years (Preferred)
