JOB PURPOSE:

Perform preventive, corrective and troubleshooting maintenance, and testing of all Plant Instrument Process

Monitoring, Control Protective equipment with applicable procedures and guidelines.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Instrument & Control Maintenance

• Carry out routine and preventive maintenance work, repair and testing of equipment In line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and standards to fulfil the requirements of the work request or work order.

• Carry out preventive maintenance activities maintenance and participate In the assigned plant shutdown activities and ensure timely completion of job activities.

• Verify completed maintenance activities to ensure that the job is performed as per requirement and complete the maintenance activity sheet

• Carry out inspection and exercise vigilance to identify any developing problem in the area assigned and report any problems.

• Trouble shoot, repair calibrate and test various types of process control instruments and relay logic, to keep the instrumentation systems as designed.

• Perform preventive and emergency maintenance on all equipment on site as well as during machine scheduled or unscheduled shutdowns to ensure the availability of all equipment in reliable conditions during running and prevent unforeseen trips.

• Perform field and/or system modifications of control elements and/or control loops as per the plant change requests and assist to update all related plant drawings to reflect the actual changes thus enhancing the plant operation in line with the management of change of procedure.

• Assist in upgrading and retrofitting of new control instruments to the existing panels in the field and main control room as and when required for completion of modifications and the PCR in line with standards.

• Implement and comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures, to accomplish operational objectives.

Training

• Provide on-the-job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.

ToolBox

• Maintain all tools, safety gear and equipment provided by company safely and in working condition.

• Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.

Time Management

• Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.

• Inform the Maintenance Supervisor in case additional resources are required to carry out the job within the assigned time frame.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.

Health. Safety. Environment (HSEland Sustainability

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines In line with international standards, best practices and Client Code of Practices.

• Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.

Housekeeping

• Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.

Reports

• Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare progress reports for

Company Management.

• Provide Input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal

• Regular work related contact with concerned Team I Section Leader, and team members on matters related to Section Policies, Processes, and Procedures.

External

• Nil.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

• Diploma in Instrument I Control I Electronics Engineering or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

• 4 years of experience in Instrument I Control maintenance activities within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.

• Thorough working knowledge in the field of instrumentation and control. Competency in the maintenance of control loops, PLC's and DCS

• Understanding of Testing procedures for relays/ equipment and handling engineering equipment

• Knowledge about HSE procedures & practices

• Scheduling and Co-ordinating, Checking, Examining and Recording.

• Knowledge of CMMS systems like Maximo, SAP
