1. JOB PURPOSE:
Maintain, Overhaul and repair electrical equipment, wiring and fixtures from Company (JV’s and
ASRs), Company and other non-industrial areas.
2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Perform all corrective, preventive and routine electrical maintenance activities.
· Receives work assignments with briefing and instruction from superiors.
· Check on periodic basis, all equipment's and tools and ensure that they are in good working condition. This also includes obtaining requirements of materials and spares.
· Knowledge of LV and MV equipment's (motors, transformers, generators, switchgear, cranes, power source etc.)
· Repairs, maintains and changes electrical parts in various types of overhead cranes and Central Workshops machinery. Includes inspection, fault identification and repairs of such components as starters, drive systems, generators, alternators, switches etc. Tests and checks for sound operation.
· Keeps up-to-date routine records of completed work, including spares and materials used.
Fills in overhaul report sheets and brings to the attention of the Electrical Foreman any problem encountered in performing the work.
· Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, Voltmeters, Megger, Vibration meter and taco meter to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
· Performs correct stress relieving procedures according to the company standards.
· Enforces safety and work performance standards and regulations.
· Performs other related duties, such as reading and interpreting circuit diagrams, using various electric meters such as galvanometers, ammeters and voltmeters, repairing and maintaining faulty domestic appliances, etc.
· Authorized to operate 415V motor testing panel.
· Diagnoses and rectifies faults on electrical equipment and associated control gear, heavy and light HT and LT switchgear and ancillary equipment.
· Carries out electrical installation work as assigned and arrange with his supervisor the materials and spare parts required to perform assigned work.
· Keeps routine records of work completed and completes logs for maintenance work performed. Makes verbal and/or written reports on work performed.

· Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.

· Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
· Inform the Maintenance Supervisor in case additional resources are required to carry out the job within the assigned period.

· Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.

· Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and Company Code of Practices.
· Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.
Housekeeping
· Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.
Reports
· Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
· Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.
3. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Internal
· Has routine contact with work associates and personnel of same level in various Sections of
the Central Workshops as applicable.
External
· Service order Contractors to ensure timely completion of projects.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Minimum Qualification
· Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the
relevant field of electrical maintenance.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
· 4 years of experience, in maintenance technical services preferably in electrical.
Professional Certifications
· As required by the Company.
5. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
· Good understanding of Quality Standard codes compliance and capable of resolving safety issues.
· Knowledge of the approved methods, material, tools, occupational hazards, proper safety precaution required at the work and equipment utilized in electrical installation and maintenance.
