Responsibilities:

• Perform barge accommodation feasibility study
• Perform structural analysis to ensure that the facility can withstand various loads (like ships being built or repaired) and environmental factors (such as waves, wind, and seismic activity).
• Direct, supervise and monitor planned and unplanned repairs on accommodation barge within established budgets and time frames
• Oversee all regulatory inspections for accommodation barge. Address and correct any issues arising from inspections.
• Coordinate the purchasing of parts and services for construction, repair and maintenance required for the projects
• Assists with the development of planned construction and maintenance budgets.
• Serves as engineer for vessel maintenance and repair issues when necessary.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal barge/vessels operation regulations.
• Work closely with naval architects, mechanical engineers, and other professionals to integrate various engineering disciplines in the projects.
• Adheres to all company policies.

Requirements

• Possess a recognized Civil/Structural Engineering degree
• Minimum five (5) years of construction engineer work experience supervising vessels/barge/shipyard structures.
• Must have experience in Shipyard/ ship building/ major conversions in Marine Assets
• Able to resolve site and technical issues and document detailed site progress reports.
• Good supervisory and leadership skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
