Basic Function:

 

• In charge of Fluids, Cement and Drilling Wastes

• Accountable for drilling fluid and cementing budget for the operation MM USD/year.

• Direct supervision of field supervisory staff (2-4).

• Contract holder of 3-5 Service Contracts

 

Worked Performed: 

 

• Concept select and detailed design for FDP for mud and cement in highly sour environment

• Selection of drilling fluid and cementing contractors

• Preparation of drilling fluid and cementing tender

• Selection of drilling fluids for the particular wells

• Supervision of the execution of the drilling fluids and cement programmes and waste treatment

• Assist Well Engineers in the preparation of the fluids and cement Programmes.

• Management of fluids and cement contracts, provide scope and liaise with logistics-contracts section on relevant contracts, service and purchase orders.

• Ensures compliance with statutory requirements, legal obligations and permitting for the execution of the activities related to fluids and cement.

• Ensures Company and Shareholders Requirements and Standards are met with a particular attention to HSE Management Systems.

• Play key role in the set-up and application of Emergency and Loss of Control Plans and Procedures.

 

HSE Critical Tasks:

 

• HSE critical tasks as defined in the safety case and Companies Well Engineering roles and responsibility document (HSE-MG).

 

• Graduate Engineer with 20+ years of industry experience of which at least 5 years in a similar position.

• Desert and highly sour operations experience.

• Trained in HSEQ and Emergency Management.

• Fluent in English (notions of Arabic are an asset).

• Technically sound, team leader, negotiator, high integrity, social awareness and cultural flexibility.
