Basic Function:

 

• Key role in ensuring tools/studies are in place to be used for development well design and planning.

• Primary focus on static and upscaled dynamic simulation models; facies and diagenetic modelling; geomechanics; fluid compositional studies and uncertainty analysis.

 

Worked Performed:

 

• Provide geological support to multi-discipline exploitation team. Work to plan and exécute Shah Gas Field appraisal and development wells utilizing 3D seismic and wells database.

• Integrate core/petrographic, geomechanical and seismic data and ensure main learnings are incorporated into the upscaled simulation models and are used in well opérations planning.

• Work closely with Geological Operations and Drilling teams on appraisal and development programs to identify optimal well design & locations for development wells.

• Work closely with the Development Optimisation Adviser using both static and dynamic Simulation models to define strategy and optimisation of well design, preferred well paths and lengths for development drilling program.

• Provides expert level team input for the Subsurface team one or more of the following core geological subjects: Carbonate sedimentology & diagenesi; geomodelling; geomechanics and Well and Reservoir Management (WRM).
