Job Description
Basic Function:
 
Overhaul responsible for diesel engines maintenance activities and condition monitoring. Manage a limited workforce of skilled technicians against particular planned/unplanned maintenance tasks.
 
Worked Performed:
 
In charge with continuo survey and monitoring the company diesel engines and auxiliaries.
On hands skills, been able to perform individual diesel engine works.
Responsible for troubleshooting, job execution and ensuring the high quality standard against all performed diesel engines tasks/interventions.
Responsible for day to day maintenance activities upon all the diesel engine within the plant. Good planning familiarization, understanding the diesel engines job plan forecasts and scopes.  
Responsible for spare parts management, ordering, receivable, inspection and set the appropriate consume levels.
Responsible for diesel engines technical documentation, log books and history files.
Ensure the provision of materials, equipment and special tools required. Liaises with the Central Workshops for support services, preparing workshop orders as necessary.
Implement plant modification work in accordance with established procedures and approved plan.
Liaise with planning and relevant personnel in the Operations and Safety Departments to obtain permits to work to the sections planned work schedules. Liaises with other sections regarding the availability of mobile plant and labour.
Compile and prepare reports on normal, breakdown and major maintenance work.
Use computerized maintenance management systems (SAP/R3) to carry out his duties.
Carry out similar or related duties, e.g. time sheets, stores stock requisitions, accident reports, minor disciplinary actions.
Required to be on call outside normal working hours.
Help mentor and develop UAE nationals.
Identify training needs for section workforce.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirements:
 
Mechanical Engineering diploma/vocational certificate and/or apprenticeship.
15 years experience in maintenance and application of Mechanical equipment associated with the oil refining or Petro-Chemical industry, minimum 8 of which should have been in a supervisory capacity.  
Good knowledge of spoken and written English, with capability of writing technical reports.
