Basic Fuction:

 

• Drive fire truck and other emergency response vehicles as instructed to the scene of fire, rescue and other areas as required by the Company and operate equipment as per requirement.

• Job scope includes carrying out daily inspection checks and conduct periodical performance testing of fire truck and its fire fighting equipment to ensure their availability on demand.

 

Worked Performed:

 

• Drives fire truck and other emergency response vehicles to the scene of incidents and safety operate to fight and rescue personnel.

• Carries out inspection and maintenance of all fighting and fire suppression equipments located in fire trucks to ensure their availability for use on demand.

• Carries out tests and demonstration exercises on fire truck operation and fire fighting and fire suppression equipment to ensure reliability.

• Assists fireman in providing first first-aid services in line with Company regulation to all employees and contractors/visitors and transporting to Hospital as and when required.

• Maintains standby/alert position with safety gear at all times when on duty to respond to plant emergencies without any time loss.

• Listens to emergency channel also radio communication and responds to call out actions appropriately.

• Assists Fire Supervisor/Fireman to transport heavy fire fighting and safety equipment to various locations of plant and jetty for emergency response actions.

• Responds to all oil spill response emergencies with appropriate spill recovery kit and carries out oil spill recovery operations.

• Assists in performing rescue operation from operations from fires, vessels, pits, confined spaces, high elevations and drowning following company procedures and regulations.

• Performs daily fireman exercise drills to ensure self-fit to carryout Fire Truck Driver duties.

• Assists Fireman in refilling of dry chemical powder extinguishers and breathing apparatus immediately as and when cylinders become empty.

• Ensures availability of all valid documents including security passes pertaining to the Fire Truck.
