Basic Function:

 

• Carry out independently cleaning, surface preparation and painting using the different methods of application (Brush, Roller, and Spray). (Blaster and Painter)

 

Work Performed:

 

• Cleans and prepares surface with hand tools, power tools, water jet, chemicals and sand & grit blasting and ability to operate the sandblasting machines. 

• Paints with brush and by spraying (including lettering) and ability to operate the relevant painting spray pumps.

• Arranges approach to job by simple scaffolds, ladders or movable platforms.

• Reads instructions and is conversant with various types of paints, primers, thinner, pot life and mixing of painting material / components.

• Assists in thermal insulation for hot and cold services.

• Keeps work site clean.

• Adheres to safe working procedure.

• Adheres to safe working procedure.

• Performs other duties as instructed by his Supervisor.
