Job Description

Basic Function:

• Carryout independently various carpentry works (Furniture, shuttering and forms) using hand and mechanical Tools.

Worked Performed:

• Skills in the construction, repair, restoration, and installation of wood and associated materials which are related to offices Furniture, shuttering and forms of the concrete and refractory works.

• Complete knowledge of making wood form works using hand and mechanical tools along with its installation at site.

• Repairing, Installation and checking of all relevant ironmongeries such as door locks, knobs, hinges, closures, etc, and other fixtures to buildings and structures.

• Good Knowledge of work shop tools & equipment (such as drills, shapers, jointers, band saw, circular saw, etc,) and materials common to the carpentry trade

• Fabricates or repairs and installs wooden cabinets, doors, frameworks, shelves, floors, industrial pallets concrete forms and other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, and power tools.

• Complete knowledge of repairing of all types of doors and windows i.e. Steel, Aluminum and Wood.

• Cleans equipment, shop area, and work site area.

• Adheres to safe working procedure and familiar with all PPE, safety gears and harnesses.

• Performs other duties as instructed by his Supervisor.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Requirements:

• Age between 25 to 45 years.

• SSC preferable.

• 10 years experience in a large Fertilizer / Petrochemical / Power / Industrial Plant.

• Attendance of the relevant vocational training courses from a recognized Industrial Technical Institute, (holding Industrial Training Certificate and the relevant Trade Test Certificates such as CITB Qualification – CITB – Apprenticeship program).

• Full understanding to the instruction in English language with capacity to speak, read and write in English.
