Job Description
Basic Function:
 
Provides expertise and assumes responsibility for areas related to Material and Corrosion within Research Center and Company Refineries. 
Reviews the metallurgy of the equipment and piping of refineries units as and when required and makes recommendations for up grading as required. 
Reviews the operating conditions to assess and monitor corrosive conditions and evaluates the material performance in corrosive streams. 
Oversees all material and corrosion research projects, failure analysis and failure investigations in Research Center laboratories in order to enhance safety and integrity of the plant. 
Supervises the material and corrosion activities in Research Center, and provides support to refineries as and when required. 
Review research, and testing results; provide guidance for subordinates, and consolidate findings and results in to technical reports and publications. 
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirements:
 
B. Sc in Metallurgical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with qualification in corrosion engineering. M. Sc is preferable.
9 years’ experience in process and utilities of Petroleum Refineries. 
Chemical Process plants, Petrochemical plants of which 5 years as specialist in Corrosion Engineering preferably at Research & Development centre. 
7 years’ experience in case of M. Sc qualification for the jobs.
Refinery experience is a must.
