Job Description
Worked Performed:
 
Provides technical knowledge and assumes responsibility for areas related to Corrosion Monitoring and Control in the Material and Corrosion Section. 
Assists in the review of the metallurgy of the equipment and piping of refineries units as and when required and makes recommendations for up grading as required.
Reviews the operating conditions to assess and monitor corrosive conditions and evaluates the material performance in corrosive streams.
Carries out material and corrosion testing and research activities failure analysis and failure investigations in order to enhance safety and integrity of the plant. 
Performs the corrosion activities in Research Center, and provides support to refineries as and when required. 
Updates/ Prepares the records for the corrosion laboratory activities.

 

Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirements:
 
B. Sc. in Metallurgical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with qualification in corrosion engineering.
5 Years’ experience in process and utilities of Petroleum Refineries. 
Chemical Process plants, Petrochemical plants of which 3 years as specialist in Corrosion Engineering preferably at Research & Development centre.
