• Provides technical knowledge and assumes responsibility for areas related to Corrosion Monitoring and Control in the Material and Corrosion Section. 

• Assists in the review of the metallurgy of the equipment and piping of refineries units as and when required and makes recommendations for up grading as required.

• Reviews the operating conditions to assess and monitor corrosive conditions and evaluates the material performance in corrosive streams.

• Carries out material and corrosion testing and research activities failure analysis and failure investigations in order to enhance safety and integrity of the plant. 

• Performs the corrosion activities in Research Center, and provides support to refineries as and when required. 

• Updates/ Prepares the records for the corrosion laboratory activities.
