Basic Function:

 

• Carries out all architectural and interior activities including furniture, furnishings & equipments pertaining to design, procurement, tendering, supervision and execution stages of buildings, residential areas, offices and common facilities handled by OTS, Office Planning & Projects Unit, ensuring that Management objectives of the projects are fulfilled. 

 

Work Performed:

 

Conducts studies on external and internal architectural aspects of the planned Projects including:

 

• Discussing and surveying requirements of the end user and proposed project of new and modified buildings, residential areas, planned offices and common facilities.

• Collecting information regarding planned architectural function of new projects.

• Analyzing architectural and functional conditions of available locations, studies possibilities of alteration and modifications of existing buildings and facilities.

• Analyzing Organization Chart and functions of offices arrangement assuring compliance with Company’s relevant policies. Reviewing and studying offices space and furniture with a view to standardizing arrangement for various categories of stuff based on policies.

 

Conducts preparation and design work of architecture and interiors aspects of  the project including:

 

• Preparing conceptual design for architecture and function of new planned buildings and facilities, modification and alteration of building and facilities, Offices layouts and discuss the proposal with end user.

• Surveying and researching the market availability of materials, furniture, finishing and equipments required for the project. 

• Preparing detailed design of exterior and interior architecture and landscaping of the project, and designing decorative and finishing aspects of new, modified or refurbished areas of buildings, facilities and offices.  

• Coordinating with Maintenance Section to design appearance and arrangement of electro-mechanical fixtures.

• Working out sketches, layout and architectural details for AutoCAD drawings.

• Preparing AUTOCAD drawings, implements modifications, corrections, etc.

• Preparing detailed Scope of Work, technical specifications, cost estimation and Bill of Quantities as architectural part of Tender Documents.

• Presentation of final architectural, commercial and finishing aspects of the project and recommendation to the end user and Management for approval.

• Participating in tendering process of the project, including pre-qualification and technical evaluation of the bids.

 

Participates in administration of the Project and supervises architectural and interiors aspects of the work including:

 

• Reviewing and approving contractors architectural workshop drawings, samples of material, mock-up samples of furniture, etc.

• Reviewing all proposed relevant contract changes and variations and making recommendations to Engineer OP&P and General Service Division approval.

• Supervising architectural work at site during execution.

• Checking and accepting on behalf of Company all architectural and interiors work executed by Contractor within the project’s Scope of work.

• Preparing and following up project’s close-out documentation, maintains office space and arrangement lay-out drawings, and updating them to include all carried-out modifications.

 

Performs other similar or related duties as assigned.
