Basic Function:

 

• Directs and controls Contractor's onshore activities involved in carrying out site Wire-line (slick line) operations to provide Reservoir and Petroleum Engineers with detailed information on reservoir behavior during production or injection. 

• Plans and programmes Wire-line (slick line) activities to ensure all Petroleum Engineering & Field Development Divisions' requirements are met. 

• Coordinates with concerned personnel/ contractor for Wire-line (slick-line) units' & Wire-line (slick line) tools maintenance/ upkeep/ certification.

• Develops, manages, & maintains inventory of down-hole equipment/ tools, performance assessment and replacement. 

• Witness's special Wire-line (slick line) jobs conducted by contractors and interpret/ validates the results. 

• Assists superiors & prepares tender specifications, evaluates received bids and makes recommendations for Wire-line (slick line) contracts. 

• Ensures adherence to Company's Health, Safety & Environmental rules, regulations, and technical standards.

• (Work covers onshore contractor workshop(s) & coordination for Wire-line (slick line) interventions on offshore oil producers, water injectors, and gas (production / injection) wells in Umm Shaif Field).
