Job Description
Basic Function:
 
Provides technical assistance on all activities related to inspection, site surveys and disposal of surplus materials. 
Follows up on inspection activities and certification requirements. 
Arranges and forwards inspection related documents to users, inspection agencies and vendors. Maintains and updates all related documents, and prepares reports as directed.
 
Work Performed:
 
Prepares and forwards to user inspection reports and certificates after scrutiny by the concerned staff in the Section.
Segregates reports received from users requesting missing certificates/reports and expedites suppliers/inspection agencies for submittal.
Reports any delay in submission of certificates and inspections reports.
Dispatches Inspection Authorizations to inspection agencies and updates status of the related inspection activities on MAXIMO based on progress reports received.
Follows up with local vendors for the provision of manufacturer details and provides them with inspection agencies’ addresses for the execution of vendor inspection of materials.
Checks that inspection attachments and clauses are included in purchase enquiries and orders.
Operates MAXIMO to enter/amend and update all inspection data.
Prepares monthly activity reports and executive summary, as required, related to inspection work. Includes preparing statistics, charts, etc.
Verifies Asset Write-off & Disposal Requests (AWDRS) and the list of surplus materials; and updates the computer database as necessary.
Assists in preparation of Tender documents and issues the same to selected bidders.
Follows up with bidders on site visits and clarifications.
Coordinates with users at sites during removal of material by successful tenderer.
Performs other similar or related duties as assigned. Includes maintaining and updating all related files and records.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirements:
 
Completion of Secondary (12 years) education followed by a 2-year Diploma in a related field.
4 years’ clerical experience, preferably in an Inspection/Quality related job in the oil/gas industry.
Ability to operate computer terminal.
Bilingual Candidates preferred.
Good knowledge of English.
