Basic Function:

 

• Provides training and advice to Ruwais Refinery staff to promote safe practices and a safe working environment.

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

• 3 years higher Diploma in engineering in chemical or mechanical, or Degree in physics and Chemistry. Preference is to those with Diploma in Safety. 

• 5 years minimum experience in a safety officer role preferably in the oil and gas industry.

• Experience in a process engineering facility in process safety or risk assessment.

• Proficient in applying quantitative risk assessment techniques.

• Skilled at instrumentation including real time monitoring equipment.

• Knowledge of basic record-keeping practices.

• Computer literate with good knowledge of SAP.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to generate internal reports with good English. 

• Arabic language is preferable.
