Job Description

Basic Function:

• Must be fully competent and experienced with previous oilfields experience to perform removal/installation of pipes & valves and flange gaskets; setting up pipe joints for welding, operating pipe bending and screw cutting machines, carrying out hydro-testing of valves/pipe, Ox-acetylene cutting of plates... etc.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Requirements:

• Completion of secondary education followed by 2 years of formal training in mechanical trades.

• 8 years of practical experience in pipe fitting duties in offshore oil/petro-chemical installations.

• Good knowledge of spoken and written English language.

• Basic safety courses such as fire-fighting, survival, H2S and first aid

• Must be conversant with the use of permits to work and be experienced in the use of Basic Lifting Equipment and Breathing Apparatus Sets.
