Basic Function:

 

• Mechanical fitter must be fully competent and experienced men with previous oilfields experience in fault diagnosis/repair of oil/vacuum/chemical injection pumps, valves; and air/vapour compressors. 

• Capable of aligning pumps to motors and renewing mechanical seals, bearings and checking clearance.

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

• Completion of secondary education followed by 2 years of formal training in mechanical trades.

• 8 years of practical experience in the repair of all types of pump, turbines, 

• compressors, rear boxes, valves and ancillary equipment in offshore oil installations.

• Good knowledge of spoken and reading English language.

• Basic safety courses such as fire-fighting, survival, H2S and first aid.
