Job Purpose:

Directs and supervises through Maintenance Supervisors, contractor’s workforce engaged in maintenance, installation, fabrication, modification & other shutdown activities carried out on all above-sea level offshore structures/plants. Ensures adherence to Company’s established procedures and approved engineering standards.

(Work covers maintenance of all offshore plants, equipment and structural installations in Umm Shaif, Zakum & Das Island).

Principal Accountabilities:

• Supervises and controls contractors’ workforce who implement required works to Company’s approved engineering standards, ensuring adherence to provisions of contract and evaluates performance.
• Ensures that all personnel on the workbarge adhere to Company’s established safety rules and regulations.
• Ensures that all completed maintenance/modification/fabrication/installation works are carried out according to approved engineering codes/standards.
• Supervises commissioning of repaired plants/equipment to ensure efficient operation and liaises with Site Inspection Engineer / Team Leaders for certifying satisfactory completion of works, keeping Supervisor informed of work progress.
• Studies & reviews Engineering Packages/Scope of Work, prepared by Asset Planning in Production Business Unit and/or adhoc requests channeled through Supervisor for maintenance, modification, installation and fabrication of works to be carried out on above-sea level offshore structures including Supercomplexes, wellhead towers, oil/gas production/separation, water injection plants, tanker berths, …etc.
• Studies/reviews supplied engineering drawings, surveys sites and highlights discrepancies/anomalies and recommends to Supervisor appropriate corrective measures. Sharing in risk assessment exercises & meetings.
• Plans work, determines priorities and mobilises contracted workforce to required sites ensuring availability of required materials on due dates.
• Schedules, in agreement with Supervisor maintenance/mechanical works such as: fabricating and installing hook-ups, conductor clamps, gas scrubbers, etc., ensuring issue of necessary work permits. Assume duties of Maintenance Supervisor as & when required.
• Implements HSE Program as per Company & department objectives/targets to achieve the Division KPIs.
• Maintains & monitors ISO-14001 & OHSAS 18001 Certification/requirements.
• Ensures all maintenance activities carried out safely as per Company’s Safety Rules & Regulations.
• Plans, directs and supervises the activities of assigned personnel.
• Performs supervisory functions and exercises responsibilities at the Unit Head Level as established by Management.
• Performs other related duties such as initiating/originating stores requisitions/purchase orders, writing technical reports, Hand-over Notes, maintaining daily logs and work records.
• Provides the necessary support for safe Barge move.
• Follows-up competency development program for UAE national Juniors, giving all Technical assistance & training support.

Communication & Organisational Relationships:

• Frequent contacts with work associates in Abu Dhabi, and on Supercomplexes up to Team Leader level to discuss engineering requirements and co-ordinate work activities.
• Regular contacts with personnel in Commercial Division, and Quality Assurance Department at equivalent level to discuss maintenance / modification specification/standards, materials requirements…etc.
• Occasional contacts with contractors’ agents/representatives at equivalent level to discuss work requirements, evaluate performance, …etc.
• Works according to Company\'s established procedures and professional engineering standards. Refers major issues to SBE &BSTL.
• Completed work is subject to review by Supervisor.
