Work Performed:

 

• Ensure that all Scaffolding required in the Live operating plant is installed safely in accordance with the industrial standards and as per the approved Company procedure.

• Inspect and certify quality of Scaffolding materials which includes Tubes, Boards and Fittings to ensure they comply with the correct Company standards.

• Select and identify suitable type of scaffolding for the safe execution of works in a live operating plant.

• Conducts inspection and certifies the quality, suitability and safety of Scaffolding as per the industrial standard and best industrial practices.

• Monitor the Erection and dismantling of scaffolding as per the approved method statement and in accordance with the Plant operating procedures.

• Capable of understanding and verifying erection of Scaffolding as per the drawings.

• Capable of Identifying task hazards involved in scaffolding and how to negate them.

• Ensures Scafftags are signed and kept up to date with relevant information.

• Inspects all Scaffolds on site every seven days and keeps a record for any future audit.

• Provides valuable input in incident investigations with respect to the integrity of the Scaffolding.

• Maintain a record of the condition of all scaffolding materials and ensure that they are maintained correctly and are removed from site and disposed of, if found damaged or defective.

• To provide advice on the suitability of specialized scaffolds supplied by contracting companies with regard to the functionality of the scaffold to meet the health and safety requirements of Company.

• Ensures implementation of the HSEMS policy and adherence to safe operations working procedures.

• Assists in updating work procedures for all practical aspects of Scaffolding work for LNG Plant

• Responsible for ensuring standard and quality of work executed by ISP Contractors.

• Coordination with inter departments on day to day work as essential

• Provides work recommendation and site advise to scaffold supervisors.

• Has frequent contacts with Operations and Plant Maintenance staff to ensure the on- going requirements for safely erected scaffolds are maintained.

• Has contact with contractors representatives to inspect contract work scopes.

Minimum Requirements:

 

• NVQ Level 3 Scaffolder with relevant approved record card.

• Knowledge in MS Office - Word & Excel & Outlook.

• Valid Certification required in Advanced Card from CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) or CISRS (Construction Industry Scaffolding Registration Scheme) or equivalent.

• 10 years working as a Scaffolder erecting conventional scaffolding.

• Able to read complex Scaffold Design Drawings and verify Contractors work.

• 10 years of experience as a Supervisor/ Inspector in Oil and Gas industry.

• Total of 15 years of Experience in the Scaffold Industry.

 

Additional Requirements:

 

• Expert in understanding and following Company HSE policy & procedures.

• Expert knowledge in industry standards related to scaffolding (BS 5973) TG 20.4.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a live operating plant environment.

• Excellent Knowledge in Permit to Work system in Oil field.

• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English.

• Must have worked in the capacity of a scaffolding supervisor for a minimum period of 5 years.

• Gulf experience is preferred and advantageous.
