Job Description
LPG Plant Operators
Operate the filling machines and other machines/equipment at LPG filling Plants in more than one process area, with mandatory full compliance to operational safety procedures and dress code i.e., PPE like uniform, safety shoes, hand gloves, ear plugs, masks, hard hats etc., and supporting effective coordination of activities between the areas to achieve production targets.
Checking work sites and LPG filling plant machinery before commencing the operations so as to ensure that all equipment and machinery are in good operational condition.
Maintain LPG filling plant equipment and filling halls in good and clean condition. 
Fulfill routine checks on LPG filling equipment for abnormalities or emergencies, before and during plant operation to report defects noted in equipment to Plant foreman for arranging repairs with the concerned maintenance staff, in line with defined standard operating procedures.
Perform routine LPG cylinder checks to ensure cylinders are in good condition during the different stages of filling operations and also check whether all filled cylinders are free of leaks and the valves duly sealed.
The weight of each filled cylinders shall be checked and ensure that there is/are no leak/s in cylinders during & after LPG filling operation. In case cylinders are overfilled and under filled, shall do weight correction, evacuation of cylinders, valve removal/fixing of new valves & purging of cylinders
Arrange / maintain on hand availability of day-to-day LPG Filling plant empty cylinders and consumables with the support of Plant foreman.
Ensure the proper level of lubrication in filling plant machinery and cylinder conveyor chains by execution of daily maintenance checks and periodical cleaning of soap solution trays.
Ensure uninterrupted flow of empty and filled LPG cylinders and inform Plant foreman in case of any problems encountered.
Provide support to maintenance crew and associated third party service providers to facilitate effective maintenance activities in line with Company standards.
Provide required inputs to Foreman for preparing progress reports and various Key Performance Indicator (KPI) checklists for Company Management.
Need to be fully conversant to operational emergency plans and evacuation procedures and ability to use the safety equipment and fire extinguishers, in case of an emergency.
Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after operations, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.
Check cylinder (O-Ring testing, inspection of valves, visual inspection checks) and do segregation and removal of date expired / unfit cylinders from service pre-filling. Shall also do cylinders foot-ring straightening, manual handling of cylinders, operating of palletizers, monitoring & operation of chain conveyor system.
Coordinate with control room supervisor for LPG transfer pump operations
Perform other related duties as and when assigned by the Supervisor.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirements:
Secondary School Education (Science)
2-3 years of relevant experience as mentioned in Scope of Works for Operational Services - LPG Plant Operators
Familiar in Speaking, reading and writing of English Language.
