JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE: 

 

Plan, direct, coordinate and assist in Onshore and Offshore sites rotating machinery maintenance activities. Responsible for the timely, safe, cost effective achievement of plant machinery reliability and availability targets as directed by Maintenance policy and in line with all applicable industry standards, codes and practices.

Provide specialist technical support to Onshore and Offshore sites maintenance teams appertaining to rotating machinery field.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

 

• Direct and follow-up the rotating machinery repair and maintenance activities for all categories of rotating machinery (Onshore and Offshore sites, local workshops and vendor overhaul facilities abroad, as applicable).

• Leads the Rotating Machinery Team to carry out support of Rotating Equipment.

• Participates actively in the Maintenance Optimization programs using reliability Center Maintenance (RCM).

• Supervises, review and approve budgets/Maintenance programs for the 5 year Business /Operating plans.

• Reviews and approves requisitions for materials and services related to Rotating Equipments.

• Coordinates with Onshore and Offshore sites & Major project Teams in the selection and specification of Rotating Equipments and new installation.

• Support onshore/offshore teams in resolution of machinery related problems.

• Troubleshoot plant machinery problems; conduct root cause analysis and recommend solutions/ mitigations measures.

• Participate in implementation/follow-up of equipment condition monitoring systems.

• Establish and maintain comprehensive major machinery maintenance records.

• Prepare component/equipment repair procedures as applicable inline with best practices.

• Prepare equipments overhaul plans.

• Liaise with Vendors/Specialists as required to improve machinery reliability.

• Prepare and administer Operating/Capital budget expenditure appertaining to major machinery within policy guidelines

• Participate in preparations of operating, five years and long term business plans related to machinery including equipment long term replacement plans due to obsolescences, etc.

• Perform regular health checks/audit of major machinery packages, including vibration surveys, performance testing, etc.

• Prioritize and expedite identified weaklinks mitigation action plan.

• Contribute to major machinery maintenance strategies review and update.

• Participate in HAZOPs, technical reviews, Risk Assessment and safety audits, as applicable.

• Record all opportunity based Jobs, prepare shutdown work orders and expedite accordingly.

• Preparation of periodic reports/equipment history as required.

• Maintains/ update/ analysis of Company rotating equipment running hours/ KPIs.

• Mentor and develop UAE national engineers and technicians.

• Performs duties in a safe, professional and efficient manner, complying with HSE Requirements related to all job activities. Familiarize & maintain proper and continuous knowledge of Company's HSE procedures, rules and regulations & abide by them at all times

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering

• Ten (12-15) years' experience in O&G industry (plant rotating machinery maintenance)

• English Language proficiency, verbal and written.
