Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities not limited to 

  • -Provide strong technical leadership in Inspection/ Corrosion Management for Oil & Gas upstream/ downstream assets
  • -Provide technical solution in Asset Integrity
  • -Data collection, validation & integration to conduct risk assessment. Risk determination for buried steel network
  • -Identification of High Consequence Events (HCE) segments
  • -Direct Assessment as per requirements mentioned in NACE SP 502, NACE SP206, NACESP110, NACE SP 204
  • -be able to develop tender for DA (ECDA, ICDA) related works based on SOW
  • -liase with Contractor to ensure the proper & timely execution of various methodologies of DA
  • -Defect Assessment as per ASME, API, DNV standards and Defect categorization
  • -Pipeline Integrity management of buried steel network as per ASME B31.8 S, API 1160, DNV F101, Kastner etc
  • -have strong understanding of various damaged mechanism that can be seen in buried steel network & above ground steel assets and well known professional with API 571
  • -have through knowledge & practical exposure to various aspects of Steel & HDPE construction activities. ensure that all activities are carried out as per design & standard with utmost safety.
  • -Management of various contractors for different activities (O & M, Construction, Quality & Integrity, Corrosion management, CP, AGI, SAP & invoicing, TDD, AIPS)
Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Requirement

o Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
o NACE CP Level 3/4 
o NACE PCIM -Certificate
o NACE -Internal Corrosion Technologist
o CSWIP 3.1-Welding Inspector
o ASNT Level 2 (RT, UT, MPT & DP)
o API 570, API 571 & API 580
o Minimum 10 years in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
o Must have at least three (3) years of experience in similar position in Oil & Gas industry.
o Ability to apply API 579/ASME FFS-1 standards to evaluate remaining life and suitability for continued operation.
o Proficiency in API 580/581 methodologies for prioritizing inspection based on risk.
o Skills in evaluating corrosion defects, dents, gouges, and cracks using ASME B31G and RSTRENG methods.
o Experience interpreting pigging data (MFL, UT, EMAT) for corrosion and mechanical damage.
o Hydrostatic Testing & Pressure Analysis
o Knowledge of pipeline pressure testing and stress analysis for integrity verification.
o Ability to predict future corrosion rates and remaining life using historical data and modeling tools.
o Familiarity with international standards (API, ASME, ISO, NACE) and local regulations for pipeline integrity.
o Expertise in analyzing pipeline failures and recommending corrective actions
