Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities not limited to 
-Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems including HV/LV switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, and UPS systems.
-Execute corrective maintenance to restore equipment functionality and minimize downtime.
-Identify and resolve electrical faults in control panels, protection relays, and instrumentation systems.
-Utilize diagnostic tools such as insulation testers, thermal imaging cameras, and power analyzers.
-Supervise installation of new electrical equipment and systems.
-Conduct commissioning tests ensuring compliance with IEC, IEEE, and NEC standards.
-Ensure all work adheres to HSE guidelines, ATEX/IECEx requirements for hazardous areas, and OSHA regulations.
-Participate in risk assessments and implement lockout/tagout procedures.
-Recommend upgrades to improve energy efficiency and reliability.
-Support projects for modernization and integration of advanced control systems.
-Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, electrical drawings, and technical reports.
-Update CMMS with work orders, spare parts usage, and equipment history.
-Coordinate with mechanical, instrumentation, and process teams for integrated maintenance activities.
-Provide technical support and training to supervisors and technicians.
-Respond promptly to electrical failures and participate in root cause analysis.
-Ensure availability of emergency power systems during critical operations.
 
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirement
o Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
o Professional Engineer (PE) license.
o Hazardous Area Certification (ATEX/IECEx).
o CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) or equivalent
o Minimum 10 years in electrical maintenance within Oil & Gas or heavy industrial environments 
o Must have at least three (3) years hands-on experience with high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) systems, hazardous area equipment, and control systems.
o Electrical Systems & Power Distribution: Maintenance, and troubleshooting of HV/LV systems, transformers, switchgear, and protection relays.
o Control & Automation: PLC programming (Siemens, Rockwell), SCADA/DCS systems, HMI development.
o Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Thermographic inspections, insulation resistance testing, power quality analysis, and condition monitoring.
o Hazardous Area Compliance: Knowledge of explosion-proof equipment and ATEX/IECEx standards.
o Instrumentation & Communication: Integration with sensors, VFDs, and industrial networks.
