Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities not limited to
o Responsible for accurate measurement of Natural Gas / SNG for operational, fiscal, and custody transfer purposes.
o Operate and maintain metering systems including skids, flow meters, and associated instrumentation.
o Perform calibration, verification, and maintenance of metering equipment to ensure compliance with standards.
o Ensure metering systems meet international standards (API, AGA, ISO) and local regulatory requirements.
o Troubleshoot metering discrepancies and system faults.
o Analyze metering data, identify inaccuracies, and recommend corrective actions.
o Conduct metering audits and prepare reports for regulatory and internal compliance.
o Participate in FAT/SAT, commissioning, and lifecycle management of metering systems.
o Configure and maintain flow computers, RTUs, PLCs, and SCADA systems for metering applications.
o Develop technical specifications for metering skids and systems.
o Oversee FAT/SAT and supervise installation and commissioning of metering systems.
o Plan and execute calibration schedules and maintain traceability of standards.
o Monitor metering data for anomalies and discrepancies.
o Diagnose metering system faults and conduct root cause analysis.
o Configure and maintain flow computers, PLCs, RTUs, and SCADA systems.
o Evaluate emerging metering technologies and recommend upgrades.
o Provide technical training and develop SOPs for metering activities.
o Ensure all metering activities adhere to HSE standards.
o Perform meter reading activities and upload data into the CCB (Customer Care and Billing) system to ensure accurate billing and customer account updates.
o Management of Automated Metering Systems and infrastructure.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirement
o Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering or Equivalent
o API/AGA measurement standards training.
o Gas Certification Institute (GCI) or equivalent metering training
o Minimum 10 years of experience in metering in Oil & Gas industry.
o Must have at least three (3) years’ experience in in metering systems within oil & gas (design, installation, calibration, troubleshooting).
o Flow computers, chromatographs, transmitters, and analyzers.
o RTUs, PLCs, SCADA integration for metering.
o Proficiency in calibration tools and procedures (FAT/SAT).
o Ability to analyze metering data and resolve discrepancies.
o Expertise in Ultrasonic, Coriolis, Turbine, and Orifice meters.
o Proficiency with flow computers, chromatographs, transmitters, and analyzers.
o Experience with RTUs, PLCs, SCADA integration for metering.
o Knowledge of API MPMS, AGA, ISO standards for measurement.
o Familiarity with metering configuration tools and reporting platforms.
