Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities not limited to
oSupervise electrical maintenance works and contractors during routine and emergency operations.
oSupervise preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for electrical systems (switchgear, control panels, motors, UPS, etc.).
oEnsure compliance with international standards (IEC, IEEE) and company-specific safety and quality procedures.
oTroubleshoot electrical faults and implement root cause analysis for recurring issues.
oMonitor energy consumption and implement efficiency improvement measures.
oMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment history.
oCoordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, instrumentation) for integrated maintenance activities.
oSupport commissioning and start-up of new electrical installations.
oMonitor equipment health using condition monitoring techniques (thermography, partial discharge testing)
oEnsure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies and participate in safety audits.
o Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems (switchgear, transformers, control panels, UPS systems, batteries etc.).
o Inspect and test electrical components to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
o Diagnose and repair faults in electrical circuits and equipment.
o Assist in commissioning new electrical installations and upgrades.
o Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
o Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and procedures.
o Support emergency response for electrical failures in critical systems.
o Collaborate with instrumentation and mechanical teams for integrated maintenance tasks.
o Participate in major maintenance activities.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirement
o Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering
o CMMS proficiency
o Minimum 5 years of experience with Bachelor’s in Engineering & 10 years’ experience with Diploma in Engineering
o Must have at least three (3) years’ experience in operations & maintenance within oil & gas industry
o High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems.
o Switchgear, MCC (Motor Control Centers), transformers, circuit breakers.
o UPS systems, battery rooms and emergency power systems.
o Relay settings, protection coordination, and fault analysis.
o Preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance.
o Use of test equipment (megger, insulation testers, relay testers).
o IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and local regulatory standards.
o CMMS (SAP-EAM)
o Electrical isolation procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc flash safety.
