Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities not limited to 
o Create and close notifications and work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance.
o Prepare permits for preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities.
o Perform preventive maintenance and logic/function tests on Gas Operator Valves (GOVs).
o Conduct preventive maintenance and logic/function tests on Remote Operator Valves (ROVs).
o Execute preventive maintenance and logic/function tests on Emergency Shut Down (ESD) valves.
o Install, dismantle, and calibrate instrument pressure safety valves.
o Rectify faults in instrument and mechanical valve feedback systems.
o Calibrate and troubleshoot process pressure, temperature, and differential pressure transmitters on site.
o Calibrate and troubleshoot metering pressure and temperature transmitters on site.
o Install and reconfigure EVC meters at NGV stations.
o Collect monthly metering report data from sites.
o Maintain and rectify faults in pig signal sensors and station gate switches.
o Respond to instrument department emergencies on a priority basis.
o Perform preventive maintenance on UPS systems, including battery replacement and reinstallation.
o Inspect earth pits and check resistance values in steel pipeline networks.
o Conduct preventive maintenance, logic/function tests, and fault rectification for Motor Operator Valves (MOVs) in steel pipeline networks.
o Maintain station lighting poles and strobe lights in steel pipeline networks.
o Take monthly electrical meter readings from steel pipeline networks.
o Respond to electrical department emergencies on a priority basis.
o Issue permits for contractors working on site.
o Witness bi-annual preventive maintenance, calibration, and function tests of fire and gas systems as per cause-and-effect charts.
o Witness quarterly preventive maintenance and calibration of fire gas detectors as per cause and effect charts.
o Conduct monthly inspections of HSE safety equipment and fire & gas systems in steel pipeline networks.
o Support root cause analysis for fault identification and rectification.
o Participate in projects, including attending FAT/SAT activities for fire and gas, instrument, and electrical systems.
o Respond to fire and gas department emergencies and monitor sites as needed.
o Support root cause analysis and rectification for HVAC systems.
o Witness quarterly preventive maintenance activities for HVAC system package units in steel pipeline networks.
o Verify mechanical valve LO/LC tagging at site in steel pipeline networks.
o Participate in decommissioning and recommissioning activities in steel pipeline networks.
o Install and configure field instruments (pressure, flow, temperature, level transmitters).
o Set up control systems such as PLCs, SCADA, and RTUs.
o Perform routine calibration of instruments to ensure accuracy.
o Maintain control valves, actuators, and positioners.
o Diagnose faults in instrumentation loops and control systems.
o Repair or replace defective components.
o Ensure adherence to industry standards (API, ISA, IEC) and company safety protocols.
o Maintain documentation for preventive and corrective maintenance.
o Assist in system upgrades and integration with automation systems.
o Respond to instrumentation failures during operational emergencies.
 
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirement
 
o Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma (3 years) in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, or equivalent discipline.
o Minimum 5 years of experience with Bachelor’s in Engineering & 10 years’ experience with Diploma in Engineering
o Must have at least three (3) years’ experience in operations & maintenance within oil & gas industry
o Control loops, PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, and field instrumentation.
o Hazardous area equipment and IEC standards.
o Calibration, loop testing, trip testing, and preventive maintenance techniques.
o Ability to read electrical diagrams, P&IDs, cause & effect matrices, and logic diagrams.
o Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
