Duties and Responsibilities not limited to 

 

o Receive & register all emergency calls in SAP system as notification.

o Respond to alarms, abnormal conditions, and emergency shutdowns promptly.

o Coordinate with COMPANY ROTA Engineer during emergencies and update the site conditions & progress of rectification works

o Communicate with field technicians, maintenance teams, and dispatch TRT to coordinate corrective actions.

o Ensure accurate shift handovers and maintain detailed operational logs.

o Implement emergency response procedures for leaks, ruptures, or pressure anomalies.

o Analyze trends in flow and pressure to detect potential issues.

o Optimize pipeline performance and minimize energy consumption.

o Oversee PTW issuance to utilities working near gas pipelines

o Prepare reports for operations and regulatory compliance.

Minimum Requirement

 

o Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma (3 years) in any Engineering discipline.

o PITO or equivalent Control Room Operator training.

o Emergency Response certifications (e.g., ICS/NIMS, HAZMAT).

o Pipeline-specific certifications (API 1165, PHMSA compliance)

o Minimum 5 years of experience with Bachelor’s in Engineering & 10 years’ experience with Diploma in Engineering

o Must have at least three (3) years’ experience in Control Room operations in Oil & Gas industry.

o Proficiency in SCADA platforms for pipeline monitoring and control.

o Knowledge of RTUs, PLCs, and telemetry systems.

o Understanding of gas flow dynamics, pressure control, and compressor station operations.

o Familiarity with pigging, leak detection systems, and cathodic protection monitoring.

o Skilled in alarm prioritization and structured response to pipeline incidents.

o Competence in executing ESD procedures and coordinating emergency teams.

o Competence in trend analysis, anomaly detection, and operational reporting.

o Strong troubleshooting skills for pipeline and control system issues.
