Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

Provide expert reservoir engineering input to multi-disciplinary projects, including field development planning, reservoir performance analysis and reserves estimation. Leads reservoir management studies, performance reviews and optimization using appropriate, state-of-the-art techniques in order to achieve production targets honoring reservoir management guidelines.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Carry out all aspect of reservoir management activities including field development, performance evaluation, reservoir & asset evaluation and well prognosis.
  • Develop, improve, and implement workflows to evaluate and manage water floods. Use fundamental reservoir engineering techniques and integrate dynamic and static data to identify fluid movement and implement optimization plans to maximize profitable recovery.
  • Develop, improve, and implement workflows to carry out pattern balancing and ensure efficient production and injection process.
  • Design and lead efforts to carry out well, sector and full field performance reviews.
  • Design and lead implementation of state-of-the-art water flood and EOR project surveillance programs including pressure transient surveys, tracer surveys, interference testing, observation well placement and cased hole logging programs. Monitor flood front movement and identify any anomalous well performance.
  • Identify and support reservoir engineering studies using appropriate, state-of-the-art techniques which may include reservoir simulation, material balance, decline curve analysis, PVT / SCAL data collection, lab programs and analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for improving well performance, workover jobs, well stimulation and production enhancement. Follow up on drilling, completions and well intervention activities.
  • Develop reservoir management presentations and reports. Analyse well tests in conventional and horizontal wells.
  • Analyse production and monitoring logs. Incorporate learnings into broader understanding and model of fluid movement both local pattern and full field scale.
