Job Description

Job duties but not limited to
• Perform skilled maintenance, overhaul and repair work on a variety of major Plant and equipment, such as pumps, steam or gas turbines, compressors (rotating and reciprocating), fans, blowers, gear boxes, tanker berth flow booms, capstans. overhead cranes, sea water screening equipment, heat exchanger equipment, boilers, furnaces, columns, vessels, oil purifiers, etc.
• Carry out work using a variety of tools and measuring devices, such as spanners, hammers, wrenches, pneumatic tools, high pressure jetting and drilling equipment, calipers, feeler gauges, micrometers, verniers, clock gauges, etc., in accordance with industry practices. Must be able to work to very close tolerances.
• Participate with other Technicians or work independently in the dismantling, repair, assembly and alignment of rotating equipment.
• Dismantle, repair and assemble heat exchanger equipment, columns, vessels, boilers, etc. And fabricate pipework from isometric drawings.
• Operate simple machine tools, such as grinding machines, air-driven drills, impact wrenches, etc.
• Participate with other technicians in the routine monitoring of major items of machinery. This include vibration analysis, physical checks on equipment, etc
• Prepare reports on finished dimensions, such as pump alignment, pipework, etc.
• Ensure proper housekeeping in Plant areas, assist in preparing simple reports and data sheets showing work completed etc.
• Demonstrate appropriate levels of knowledge and responsibility regarding Technical and Operational Integrity processes of AIRMS.
• Safeguard own Health and Safety, as well as that of the fellow employees, by paying attention to safe work practices, maintaining a safe work environment and complying with applicable HSE requirements.
• Take action to INTERVENE and STOP any un-safe activity or non-compliance with HSE requirements, if witnessed, and report the incident – regardless of your position or that of the transgressor
• Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
• Implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, Quality standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section’s work programs in line with Company and International standards. • Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.
• Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
• Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.
• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices
• Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications
 
• Secondary Technical Certificate/Diploma in Instrumentation.
• 4 years' experience in the mechanical repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry and Familiar with tolerance of running, shrink or press fits on shafts, bushings, wear rings, keys, bearings, etc.
• Professional in English Language ( reading, writing and Speaking )
• Valid Certificates mandatory
